Shot show 2024

its infuriating when these companies try so hard to come up with new dumb shit when they cant even keep their basic shit in stock. its probably great problem to have as a manufacturer but as a consumer it royally pisses me off when you cant even get basic mags or bottom metals
.... or the most popular brass. bullets, and powder on the face of the earth. Lookin at you Capstone and Hodgedon

or nighthawk releasing a fucking knife when I am 18 months into my sandhawk order. just make the guns you sell.....
22 month wait for my TRS-C.

It was agonizing. The .38 Super Falcon I'd ordered afterwards actually came in first.

Looking back, however, both were worth the wait.

Each are very well made and run GREAT.

Best wishes on your Hawk.

I had seen those but aluminum on a brake sounds like a terrible idea and it’s only a few bucks less than SRS’s titanium brake which I also considered and may still try.
I’ve got a couple in stainless with nitride finish.Call Travis and ask if there not on the site.No experience with the aluminum version

This is a stupid question, but does anyone know is Mantis released any new pistol training crap?

Haven't seen a mention of them anywhere.

Paper, shot timer, eyes. Those are the tools you need. Focus on what you’re doing and be able to coach yourself. Save money, be a better shooter.

In my opinion, and I have not used dry fire aids.

The explanation of the design that Mark did in this vid should've been in the official Nexus release vid. Also makes mention of upcoming 1" size dies for big magnums.

Triggertech Sako and Tikka prototypes, RPR trigger estimated summer, Glock trigger

AR308, SCAR series in the works
AK mentioned
MCX was released recently
No mention of pistol related stuff.

I will wait a bit to see how folks here like it bit I'm definitely considering the Nexus taking my MEC's spot.
$800 for a fancy co-ax? No thanks... LOL

What I find funny is the same (not all, but most) of the people saying they want one of the new $800 SAC co-ax presses, were bitching about the 9-station fully CNC-machined ZERO turret press not being worth the money...And it's only $400 more...And is nicer, and has WAY more features...Like holding up to 4 different sets of dies per turret. 😂

I love this place. It's a bunch of guys with $5k (or more) rifles, $4k scopes, $2k lasers, spending $2 (or more) a round every single time they pull the trigger......

Arguing over which expensive item of their choosing is worth it over the other expensive item they don't think is worth it.

The Sierra Wilderness and Extreme models Bergara dropped are interesting too. I could totally see myself buy one of those.

Zero interest in $1500 Tikkas. They aren’t worth that.
I’m thinking the same thing. $1500 for a non Remington 700 action and proprietary mags..

The new Bergara Stoke, also going to be offered in 350 legend, on a rem 700 platform, and AICS mags, shims for LOP adjustment, plus threaded barrel and factory cerakote, for $500 less.

For a hunting rifle for someone in my shoes …one is clearly the better deal.

Also…I still have a tikka factory stock sitting around here somewhere. To remind me how cheap their factory stuff is.

The MDT hit indicator reminds me of this product that connects to a radio.

I hate the Chinese as much as the next guy, but Holosun released their IRIS which is a pretty full feature VCSEL laser for under $1k (and weighs just under 6.5 oz)

ETA: link
How much under a grand? After seeing the Z-Bolt ACAL I'm pretty sure that is the play for me at $1500. VSCEL illuminator, co-located green/IR lasers, and 9 ounces.

Stores listing them for $900 now with reps at the show saying $800 and available Q2. ACAL is good but whoever decided to put the laser on the left side of the rifle should get poked in the eye; it makes no sense to me.

Will be interesting to see where actual laser performance and durability comes in for both units

Don't take this as gospel but I belive the IR/Green aiming laser is centered over the bore and the VSCEL illuminator is to the left.

Damn. The people want a wmlrf that has ab
Yea I can definitely sympathize. There is some cool stuff with AB integrated coming and coming soon tho. On the WMLRF side of the house Element optics just released one. Granted it’s really aimed at hunters. Only ranges to 1k reflective and it’s their in house ballistic solver, but super small lightweight form factor. Has a screen that’ll give you holds for wind and elevation. Pretty cool I was playing with it today, but battery died before I could video it. May go back tomorrow to try again.

OK here's my rant/bitch and mone/observation about the shooting industry as a whole. Make a product and sell for a high price. Next year make slight improvement and jack price way up even more. Come out with something new or Interesting slap an outrageous price on it. Yeah I know free market and all..(just worked 16 hrs, so may not make sense)

That’s the beauty of the co-ax for me, no turret needed and die change just as fast….Just $400? How about another turret, turret holder and other accessories?

100% - whatever press you like better, implying that holding 9 dies in a turret head is an advantage compared to snapping in and out infinite dies in the Co-ax/SAC thing, is a really odd take.

Those aren’t necessities to make it run. Swapping dies is fast and easy.

Your complaints are with consumers then. Not manufacturers.

Consumers decide if a price is fair or not. If a manufacturer can't sell enough at a price, they either lower the price (and possibly change something in the product), stop making the product, or simply go out of business.

Nothing in this industry is in the realm of necessity such as water or food where you have to have it to live or function. So every single price in this industry is ultimately set by consumers. And it would be a very poor business decision to price a product significantly below what consumers are willing to pay.

Where is this info coming from? Any more you can share? Thanks!

@Rio Precision Gunworks you need to start a thread in the pit.

"You are a poor and cant afford nice things - fight me".

Doo itttttt.

LOL. That's the thing, it's perfectly fine if you can't afford something.

But what we mainly have around here is people who can absolutely afford it and purchase items that other people would think are priced way too high. They just want to argue why their chosen luxury item is a good buy and the other isn't.
