Ingenuity Precision trickler

$0 down for a "no obligation preorder". Delays were to be expected as there is no skin in the game.

Curious what delays there are for just the Powder Meter, ie not the "new system", which has a $100 downpayment and a 3% penalty for any cancelations.
I'm at 75 days on the trickler. It said 30-45 days when I ordered. Got an email earlier in the week saying those orders should be caught up next month.

It’s gonna be a long wait boys
It's looking like you're right.
(I hope not, but...)
I came to this same conclusion when I was told the Pre-Order for the new system would be up on the website "before the end of the week". It ended up being 5 weeks later - and this was just a page on the website for a pre-order.
Anyway, I'd rather wait for a trouble-free system than get something that doesn't work right because it wasn't fully developed.

Some of us have gotten more than 1 email with the "its coming next month" delay. Hopefully this time its true.

Yup.

The regular trickler (ie, not the "new system") was not free and buyers had to pony up a down payment with cancelation fees. IP has blown threw the 45 days with no clear end in sight.

I'm over 100 days and pretty irritated about selling my v4 based on the website's 45-day estimate (that he still hasn't changed even after updating the pre-orders) , and Paul didn't really seem to care until I sent multiple emails after he ignored my first 3-4. This doesn't feel like a long-term sustainable path......... and I decided not to get the full tricolor because of it.

And the vague "they will all be caught up next month" wasn't reassuring as an answer.

@kindabitey hey dumbass, we are talking about the trickler that is out and we paid a deposit for. try using your eyeballs
It still applies to that as well. I don't know this for a fact, but I'm pretty sure this is not a full time gig for him.

You have to do something full-time to respond to customer emails and provide accurate and realistic timelines? Yeah, okay….. the second he took my money, I don’t care if it’s part-time, full time or anything in between; I expected to be able to reasonably rely on the information he chose to provide, and I don't expect to have multiple emails ignored for weeks.

You guys that are complaining about how long it takes someone else to develop a product are more than free to design, test, and manufacture your own trickler/ thower. We still live in a free, capitalist country.
We are also free to complain about wildly unrealistic shipping projections and that’s exactly what we’re doing

And if it doesn’t work perfectly after we pony up $1000, we’ll be left dealing with Paul, and we have good reason to hope dealing w him is better that dealing w Adam when the AT4 was boogered up, but our complaints fell on deaf ears

Not sure why you’re being defensive *on behalf of* Paul unless he’s your brother or something. And if he is, go give him a hand with the orders!

Never met the guy, but I'd be more than willing to help him, or anyone else, with what resources I have to bring a viable product to market.
Just seems to be a lot of complaints about stuff without knowing the complete story.

I'm in the same boat, and I sold my Super Trickler to get ready for the new IP system. I hope I get the IP trickler soon at least, I'm throwing powder manually right now.

I haven't seen much online about the V4 and Super Trickler, is the V3 the only one that works well with the IP trickler? I'm gonna have to start making alternate plans. I'm kinda wondering if this thing will ever come to market.

...all the talk about the V3 we all love got me thinking.

If I were @adamjmac, I would pull a month of all-nighters, design (knockoff improve upon) a rotary disk trickler to the kernel, couple with the venerated AT V3, and Garmin the market at $650/unit (roughly the price of the bulk dropper alone everyone's waiting on). 🍿

(or just toss in the V4 towel and listen to the market's pleas to bring back the V3, but I digress...)

Maury,
You say I don't respond and lack communication. I did accidently overlook your first two emails on 12-20 and 1-4 because of the Holidays. But since then, I have answered you timely and even tried to call you several times as I do with all my customers.

Ordered 10/31 with a 45 day eta. I’ll keep the group and my new fans updated on when it ships (hopefully sooner rather than later so I can go back to shooting with my free time)

Technically, just FYI, the 45day Estimated time is work days which is how most all businesses and shipping is scheduled from. So you order is setting at 66 days.

Simply not true, day(s) in a contract are calendar days. You can specify business days in a contract and that would be fine, so did
the web order page specify business days?

Pauls a good guy he called me and is going to help me get back to reloading again soon.
Glad to hear it! The IP stuff seems like it's worth the wait. I'm sure it's hard to keep up with demand. Hope mine ships soon, I was just a few days after you. I'm using a manual thrower/trickler for now...

I can understand, in this day and age, the difficulties in trying to keep up with production. Especially for a one man show. The “30-45 days” being interpreted as “business days” is certainly misleading and if that is what was intended it should have been stated that way. Nevertheless, it seems like a quality product and worthwhile upgrade and luckily I didn’t get rid of my V3 trickler in anticipation, so I guess it gets here when it gets here.

I just wished some of you would stop with this ridiculous whining already. It ruins almost every quality thread lately. Ingenuity stuff is a very special custom made item, let Paul work and quit bitching. It won’t get anything accomplished.

Yeah I could do without the light/fancy shroud, just give us the dropper/trickler/controller asap plz...

the supertrickler guys fell into a morass adding on feature after feature. Personally, I just want a fast and accurate trickler
This is so true. The Supertrickler has turned into a science project. It seems like a flawed design that is trying to be compensated with increasingly complex software without a clear roadmap. These software 'improvements' haven't improved the powder drop time, which is still beaten by my AT v4 that drops in nearly half the time and more reliably.

Superspiller is also an apt nickname. Whether it's the odd few kernels from the vibratory tube or the ridiculous way in which the thing needs to be emptied, there's always some powder that escapes, including into the internals of the machine. The AT is cleaner in this regard too.

It was also pretty annoying that within days of taking delivery of my Gen 1, the Gen 2 was announced. An option to upgrade was cited at the time, but a year later there's still no upgrade path. At least with the Autotrickler, anyone with a v3 on order got advanced notice of the v4 and a free upgrade.

The latest 'vaporware' announcement from Supertrickler was the Superfiller. Who knows when we'll see it, but it's becoming the only reason to hold onto the Supertrickler.

Bottom line, looking forward to getting IP trickler.

The superfiller gizmo is a pipe dream. I’ll bet good money that even five years from now it does not work worth damn.

The super spiller is not fast, accurate, or reliable enough to feed the super filler, even if the latter did work, and I doubt that it will

When I see an uninterrupted video of it filling 100 cases, I will believe it. Until then, it’s a little more than REX Peterson’s nocturnal emission.

What powder measure is this and what powder are you using? I bought the Lee Deluxe Perfect Powder Measure and can't get it to throw H4350 well. It will throw half a charge then one and a half charges then it'll lock up. Very frustrating.
