Working in that business, I have trouble buying into your stories there.
All I can say is I know the area around KC, and I can tell you that even in the shit hole that KC is becoming that would not happen. For one reason, the city would get their asses handed to them in court. Multi millions.

If you are thinking of the Oregon Idaho deal there is quite a bit more to it then just leaving one state and joining another. QUITE A BIT. It has to be "approved" by both houses of congress, and all the states houses as well. It can be done, but falls into the area of "that will never happen".

TX is a bit of an odd duck next to the rest of the states. Them being a country they had different things going into the union vs any other territory.

Article IV, Section 3, of the U.S. Constitution states that Congress must approve any new states. But Texas’ claim to an exception comes straight from the 1845 joint congressional resolution admitting Texas into the Union. It reads: “New States of convenient size not exceeding four in number, in addition to said State of Texas and having sufficient population, may, hereafter by the consent of said State, be formed out of the territory thereof, which shall be entitled to admission under the provisions of the Federal Constitution.” Supporters of Texas division say this means that Congress pre-approved a breakup.

Now there is a supreme court ruling during the civil war that says no state can leave the union, but it really does not hold a lot of water.

Texas coming into the union was not smooth as well, it was a great big area that did have slaves, and that was an issue. Slave states vs free states in congress was something they wanted to keep in balance. Only 20 years till the civil war. Texas came in using some "different" voting to join the union. That is another sticking point.

Point of all this falls into what I said at the start. I personally think they can, but I don't think it will ever happen......but.

With the stupid shit this idiot in DC is doing, all bets are off. He wants to tear apart the united states, and he is doing a damn fine job of it.

This video is BS.

Take a look on Mapquest. The "border wall" at the park stops on the south end of the golf course. Texas is wide open south of that. There is no border wall like he is showing in the video. You can just walk from the golf course around the south end of the wall.

Texas is mostly, almost entirely, like 90%, unfenced.

They put a small amount of "border wall" in the park in Eagle Pass many years ago because they had so many crossings there, and it was difficult to catch them right in the town. This forces them to go around it, where they are easier to catch.

Of course, the video being bullshit does not mean that there is not a problem. Like I said, they can just go around it.

I don't know where he filmed that wall, but it is not outside of Eagle Pass, Tx.


The park is inside the wall. That is, the border is the river. The park is between the wall and the river. So if you want to play golf, you drive through the wall, and go play golf between the wall and the river. The border crossing bridge goes over the top of the wall. Weird set up.

Anyway, Texas is manning the wide open gates in this small section of border wall and put razor wire in the river. The big political theater here is that Texas is defending its border. LOL. Yeah, right in this park, they are keeping Mexicans from getting onto the golf course. Texas is doing nothing at all outside of town. The border patrol runs that area. This is a political theater.

Why is no mainstream news source reporting this instead of offering this up like it is a huge potential standoff between Texas and the feds? Ratings. Money. Period. If they brought the cameras to the south end of the park or just went south along the Rio Grande and showed the audience the unfenced vast openness of Texas, then the audience would not be as interested in giving them viewing eyeballs, which generates ad clicks. Money.

It is a source of information, the accuracy of the information it contains is unknown. Reviewing the video you can easily identify a road sign “Texas 480 North truck loop“. This is what I found with Waze.
 
There does appear to be a black line along that hwy that might be a border wall, with openings, and it stops at some sort of orchard south of town.

So is there something else you see that I’m not seeing in the video? If I had to take a guess at the open gates shown in the video, currently enough activity in that area has enforcement being conducted at the river bank. I’m opposed to any patriot parading , trucker convoys, or whatever you want to call it in Eagle Pass. Be smart there are better places to communicate a message to elected representatives other than a small border crossing in a small community in Texas.

I'm glad Abbott called that vile filthy perverted pantsshiiter's hand on the razor wire and showed what states aren't part of the OBiden human centipde.

But having to have Tucker Carlson confront Abbott asking why he hasn't called the NG in to secure his border or done anything up until now besides giving illegals free bus rides to blue states of their choce, doesn't build my confidence in him.

Now that you pointed that out, I watched for other clues, like Lane Ends Merge, and saw where the highway narrows and found a gate with a couple of porta potties. In the satellite view (who knows when it was taken) there are a bunch of border patrol vehicles parked inside the wall beyond the gate.

The buildings in the background are on the Mexican side of the river.

Yes, they did upon entering the union the first time. After joining the Confederacy and losing they gave all that up to reenter the union. The deal made in 1845 no longer applies.
