Co. pet tax

Can't wait for the king's men to start enforcing this tax. Kick down your door and shoot you for not paying a tax for having a cat. It'll be great!!!!
Hypothetical. If they kick down the door. Does this suggest a home invasion? And anyone finding themselves in said situation would be justified in opening and/or returning fire?

Technically? But what difference does it make when you and your family are dead? 99 out of a hundred don't work out in the favor of the homeowners. The king's men come in the middle of the night and wearing body armor. While Joe citizen is in his shorts and reacting to flash bangs. Then the judge rules the king's men were justified in returning fire. Even if they are at the wrong house.

Are they going to ask you for your papers when you are buying dog /cat food? Sorry, we can't sell pet food without providing proof that the animals are registered!!
Most every city and town already require you to licenses and register your dog. Ballots ate mailed out to everyone in CO. Our elections are compromised. They are now doing what ever they want. Plastic grocery bags are now illegal as are Styrofoam take out dishes and cups. Interstate commerce is taxed via internet sales and on top of the sales tax there is 25 cent residential delivery fee for every online order. They released wolves on western slope also. And parks and wildlife is off the rails closing access and camping where ever when ever they want. I think the term is going to hell in a hand basket.

And even it if doesn't pass, they will just add a "fee" for pet food. Because while taxes are voted on they can add fees to what ever they want. Colorado kangaroo court says fees ain't taxes.

Thought CO was supposed to be a semi-free state. Guess their going full commie. Fuck em
I grew up in Northern Colorado. It hasn't been a free state for over 20 years. I moved out of there right after they passed their bullshit universal BG checks and magazine bans. The government there is absolutely corrupt and there is no hope for that state.

The recall elections (must vote in person) where democrats lost their seats over that. Then subsequently won those seats back in the next regular (ballots mailed to everyone) election was an obvious sign that out elections are compromised. That's why Hickenlooper knew he could do everything he said he wouldn't during his campaign and still get reelected.

You can jump ship but they are coming to where ever you moved also.

Taxes will be applied ,without SWAT team knocking down your door. Digital id and cashless economy are built around the social credit concept.

If it does pass Colorado will soon have the best funded and worst run animal shelters in country. Mark my words. The Wing Ding Chinese buffet would care for animals better.

The ability to remove & hinder any taxing authority is on the books, everywhere. As is the proper way to start and succeed with a recall campaign. Then there is that digging of dirt on those who push stuff like this thru. There is not a tick out there that can stand a proper day lighting, if you dig deep enough, or use your imagination.

Hmm. That’s a stray. I just feed it.
Until you take it to a vet for any reason, then they nicely register it for you

There is an old joke about the only thing they can't tax...

The only thing you don't pay tax on is your dick:
90 percent of the time it's unemployed, 5%of the time it's hard up and the other 5% of the time it's in the hole. On top of that it has two dependents and they're both nuts

A dog "license" is no different than a tax. These have been a thing for decades, at least...

Charlotte, NC has had a “pet license” fee for a while if I remember correctly. It is an annual renewal that people just assume is not a tax cause most of them are stooooopid

Guys its not just a pet thing. Any taxing authority has the ability to steal from you on a whim. The only way is to remove their ability to tax, or make it painful by putting those broad members, under a micro scope 24/7. Then when you find something, soap box that shit to high heaven. Even if you don't find anything implications and half truths seem to work for them, so why not us?

Colorado pet registry bill postponed indefinitely days after being introduced following intense backlash https://www.denver7.com/news/politi...r-being-introduced-following-intense-backlash
They are Fabian Socialists... they will merely introduce it again and again and again until they win by one vote. Then they will say they have a Massive Mandate, declare victory and start taxing belly button lint or furniture cushions or houseplants.

It's all about redistribution of wealth from the makers to the takers. And the takers don't know how to make anything so they get themselves elected as takers.

Until the makers decide that they've had enough with the takers and cut them off.... economically, or by not 'making' any more or by simply 'planting' the takers in shallow unmarked graves (think death squads like in the Balkans or Central America)... the takers will keep taking until there is nothing left to take. And society will collapse.

We took on the largest, most professional army on the planet.... in 1776 over a few cents on tea. And we burned out tens of thousands of loyalists and Kingsmen.

Today we bitch about taxing cats... then pay it.

But for how much longer?

Sirhr

no more posting pics of pets on social media, and of course they will eventually know if you're buying pet food.

The Colorado cleptocrats assumed they'd get a massive increase in tax revenue when they legalized pot for recreational use- but they spent that and more- long before the invasion of illegal aliens into Denverstan.

They also got an explosion of out of state teens moving their to be professional weed smokers- most of whom are homeless and committing property crimes to pay for their 'lifestyles'.

But the Dems and rinos have it all figured out- they'll just tax the makers to pay for the takers & tokers.

I spent time at the Colorado legislature during the gun-law fight of 2012-2013 10-16hr days. I was even invited onto the Senate floor during one late night session by Republicans. I was seated by Dave Kopel, whom I knew of from the Heller and subsequent McDonald cases. That night we managed to kill a law that would have required insurance on so called “assault weapons”. I was in the galley when the mag ban passed.

The marijuana law had just been passed and then Sand Hook happened. It was sad to see the tide turning. Within a couple of years I would flee to Wyoming. This after watching the promising resolve of gun owners wither on the vine after a couple of small victories. We threw a couple off legislators out of office mid-term, one being the Senate President. The Democrats were reeling but by the time the Governor race came, gun owners were sleeping, fat.

I learned the harsh reality that gun owners will kick scream and cry but will rarely take appropriate action. Instead of being like “gays” (the spartans of political and cultural warfare) and fighting like there is no tomorrow they just can’t play the long game like the anti gun crew. Even now our victories are largely the product of the pro life’s long game. That’s what stacked SCOTUS, not us.

I had a front row seat for the show in Colorado. There were a lot of Democrats who showed up to protest the gun laws. Sadly we just did not develop the type of focused opposition that could have stemmed the tide. We are masters at calling the game before it is over and retreating.

Gun owners fight like little girls. If we really understood our power as an economic and political force we would stop playing victim and start fighting. Instead we sit with our hands in our waistband “Well when the civil war starts”…….

Unlike Dems, gun owners have jobs to go to and families depending on them. Conservatives need to learn the strategy of winning the children, teens, college crowd with emotional messaging.

By the time we collapse they will have taxed everything they can think of. They simply can’t tax everyone in mass anymore because of widespread revolt, so they pick individual groups to siphon money from. This began with cigarettes as non smokers agreed, because of course they weren’t being taxed. So they moved on to sin taxes, I don’t go to strip clubs so why would I care they are taxed, ect. Now it’s 2A products, in the end they will hit everyone in one way or another, because separating the taxes to specific groups creates less overall resistance, I am glad it failed like they all should.

Oj jeeezuz here we go again, inundated with homeless Marijuana smoking teens. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

No we are not. We are inundated with homeless heroin and meth addicts being displaced by illegal aliens. And being lured to diffrent areas because they pay for them to move there and they get more welfare benefits for living in the particular area. Most of the time the area they are in will provide them a free bus ticket where ever they want to go. Luckily it gets cold here.so a lot less stay vs California and Las Vegas.

Also Marijuana taxes were ear marked for certain things. They also go to the areas that collect the taxes. You can't refuse to have retail Marijuana in your county then share in the tax revenue generated.

People who haven't lived here for 20 or 30 years don't understand how many illegals the state has taken in over that time period. I bet close to 50% of the states population are illegal immigrants at this point.

They fucked it all up.

Should've baked additional sales/excise taxes into pet food instead. 99% of the public wouldn't even realize they're getting screwed.

Kind of like gas, airfare, tires, booze.... and GUNS.

Rookie move, Colorado.....
They could try, but I will just drive yo KS for pet food. Like I do to get free grocery bags when I go shopping.

I buy all of my alcohol in bulk from out of state for the same reason.

There's something satisfying about sticking it to the tax man....
When I worked for Unit Drilling out OK but in TX. Our driller would buy cartons and take them back to NY to sell them.

Gun owners have excuses, by the barrel full. They always find time for the things they really want to do.

If you as a politician or a company want to shit on a demographic, gun owners are your pick. Hell, companies within our own rank crap on us and we soon forget.

Do you know who you don’t shit on as a demographic? “K-pop girls” you don’t piss off k-pop girls.

Motorcyclists have jobs. But somehow that demographic rolled back helmet laws in this country at a time when seat belt laws were becoming ubiquitous.

Helmet laws, gays, marijuana legalization, these are all movements that could be our example.

Winners win, losers makes excuses and play the blame-game. Every time there’s new anti-gun legislation, I listen to my fellow, gun owners, whine, cry, piss, and moan, especially the ones in Colorado. Do they write a letter to the legislator? Do they show up at a hearing? Do they do anything to aid the fight? Anything at all. Do they donate money? Less than 1% of gun owners fight, and the rest cry like little girls.

Dear god our side is so weak.

This is what a Colorado Illegal did to my bike just as I was getting ready to move to Wyoming. She was driving away when I came out. Thank God I had an alarm.

Her insurance company was some hispanic cut rate outfit that specialized in insuring illegals. They were on the phone trying to railroad me within 30 minutes. I sic-ed State Farm on them. State Farm introduced them to anal. 😳 I got a good payout.

Bitter Richard- do ya hang out with a lot of queer potheads who are too stupid to wear helmets while riding?!

Next time you quote me- do it in full so the context is clear to the world. I was actually agreeing with you but added a few important facts you conveniently chose to leave out- they're facts even if you deny them repeatedly.

One of the biggest weaknesses I see in our gun community are the anti-social know it alls who are passive-aggressive to allies.

Dear God you're so weak for having fled Colorado so quickly instead of staying and fighting on.

We have way too many Negative Nancies & Debby Downers on our side.

So the bean fueled fart machine just drove off?

Austin's old Police Chief Art Acevedo claimed if we issued illegals a special DL, they would then remain on the scene instead of committing hit and runs.
