I noticed that these are not even listed on the American Rifle Co @AMERICANRIFLE website currently.

I know they have had lead time issues with them in the past - do they still make them or have they been discontinued?
I tried to search the forums, but if this was discussed I didn't find it.

Thanks
Ross

I know I picked up 5 last run they did, January or February. I had a friend recently ask if they were still in production, and like you went to their website, to find nothing. I wonder if they're revamping production for their aics and possibly a new ARC made double stack double feed mag for the CDG actions.

Anyone hear anything more about this? Was hoping to try an ARC mag
Per Bella a couple days ago. Production of their mags is halted. They may make them again in the future, but for now ARC mags are discontinued.
Glad I still have 2 more new ones.

What is the reason for discontinuing them? Is it due to their reliability issues? Or something else?

She told me a lot of it or most of it is outsourced & they were just having a lot of supply/coordination issues.

Probably got Fubar during covid and never fully bounced back.

I know there's been a lot of reports of reliability issues. In my case I still have 2 new one's sitting because the original 2 I bought have never once had an issue. 1 with 419 extension & 1 without.

Okay gotcha.

I know Ted was never happy with his magazine. Great idea, but he admits himself that magazines are a lot more difficult to design and produce than he anticipated.

I'm guessing he has more fun designing and producing actions, scope mounts and chassis' than magazines. Magazines seem like they are more trouble than they are worth.

Sad face :( I was hoping he'd expand the mag line for AW style short mags, Grendels, & maybe even (long shot) 223.

I'd say it due to finding a reputable vendor. My knowledge and experience with stamping sheet metal is somewhat limited, but repeatability
of the process can be an issue.

The arc follow is the biggest down fall, using the mkm followers has improved mine, have an older arc with a LRI billet follower, but the newer mags with mkm run better........for way less $$$. I run all arc or aw/ax mags anymore. Between ARC, Zermatt and an AI, they run perfectly. The only one that's been prone to the occasional hiccup, is a push feed fuzion in 6bra, it usually feeds 100% from mag, but if single feeding from loading port, it'll usually nose dive into the breech face.

Maybe he will in the future.

I don't want to speak for Ted or ARC - they very well could be planning that.

I'm just reading between the lines from interviews on podcasts over the years and his posts here.

Personally I love the idea of the ARC mags, and would be very happy if they came out with a gen2 that fixed reliability issues.
