Tac Ops Rifles

I'm guessing that mother nature is putting a monkey wrench into your ability to have any dry range time. Guessing we're just going to have to wait a little longer. :)

The best part of this thread, for me, has been waiting years now for the still unborn LH AI AT-X, but the first Tac Ops posted from this group buy was a LH.
Cracks me up. Hope to see that .308 in some New England PRS action this season! Wicked nice stick. Post up once glass is mounted!

I mean, you're comparing American cooking to English cooking....

Where do you shoot? Is it the Minuteman league? Not much for competition other than friendly shoots anymore but who knows

Good luck with getting an LH ATX. You never know with AI. I hope to buy another LH AI this summer.

Yeah, NH comps mostly at Alderbrook, Granby occasionally, the NE PRS stuff, all the usual places from the old Minuteman League...
I couldn't justify the scratch for a TacOps, but I'll still hold out for the AT-X whenever it gets out of the English oven, like, in 2027
Always appreciate the Tac Ops builds, just like Chad's LRI build threads, and this particular collaboration was perfect.

Always wanted to shoot at Alderbrook. They have a nice looking long range. It is 3.5 hours from me. do you shoot off a bench or from prone at the 1100 yard range?

Well the ATXC is closer to a TacOps than not and you’d be getting a production rifle one of thousands.

I'm near the bottom of the list... but getting very excited!

I even got myself a bunch of ammo:

A totally awesome scope:

Oh and an amazing light mount!

Can't wait!

PS. For those who are about to crap a litter of lizards, this is satire. Really good satire, if I do say so myself! I wouldn't let that crap within 100 yards of a Savage, much less a TacOps. But I bet some of you were getting ready to go postal! ;-) Probably still are.

Great. Now I have to save up for all that sweet gear too!

I’m never going to be cool.

Was thinking of putting that zco on mine. Can you take a pic with out the sun shade/extension .
I already have the scope cover on so it is not easy to do. Although after looking at the rifle, I may take it off. This scope was on my AXMC which is a lot longer and larger. If I decide to do that, I'll post the pic

Yeah ..much more sleek

It’s funny with all the chassis out not a “regular stock” looks small in comparison.

These big large scopes look too big

I might do a 4/20 not the 27
I would consider the 4/20 but already owned the 5-27 as it was on my AXMC. I bought a TT 5-25 for that rifle so the TacOps could have a dedicated scope. I don't like moving stuff around

Question,

What if any barrel break in procedure are we supppsed to do, figure I’ll have mine in a week/sooner or later?

Does he send something?

Thanks

I talked to Mike about it. His answer was thankfully aligned with my normal process.

I would ask him

@Ex E6 here's a sample size of 200+ all putting bullets into one ragged hole, over and over again, with the same factory ammo of varying lots.

I know this might be blasphemous..but has anyone done a fluted barrel?

How would you compare the ZCO to the TT 5-25?
I own a TT 5-25 but I've only looked through the ZCO 5-27.
