A man who put a gun to the head of a postal worker during an Ingleside district robbery, causing the USPS employee to believe he was about to die, was sentenced to 30 days imprisonment at San Francisco federal courthouse this morning.Leroy Wise waylaid the mail carrier as he sat in his truck – pointing a gun at his temple before pushing him to the floor and threatening to kill him if he moved. His accomplice climbed over the stricken man to steal priority mail parcels. The pair also stole the driver’s iPhone. One day later U.S. Postal Inspectors tracked the getaway vehicle to the San Francisco address of its registered owner, who turned out to be Wise’s girlfriend. While executing a search warrant they found Wise, hiding in a bedroom closet, three firearms and the clothes he wore during the robbery. He had earlier pleaded guilty to charges of ‘robbery of a mail carrier’ and ‘mail theft’ arising from the August 2022 incident.Prosecutors had pressed for a 28-month sentence. An attorney for Wise described him as a “genuinely good person” who had “lost his way” and invited the judge to impose a sentence of three years of supervised release. Wise continues to protect the identity of his accomplice.“In terms of a general deterrent, it’s not a question of whether Mr Wise will do this again – he won’t – it’s not even a question of what is in Mr Wise’s best interests…it’s the other [sentencing] factor that weighs upon the court: which is the general deterrent,” said U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer, imposing a 30-day term of imprisonment. The sentencing comes amidst a drive by postal authorities to address what was described as a “profound increase” in robberies targeting mail carriers in the Bay Area.

I thought all of this time it was Trump and the Republicans that Putin controlled. Here he goes endorsing Biden.

Trump wants to defund Ukraine and pull out of NATO. Putin is not stupid, he either thinks endorsing Biden will hurt Biden, wants to downplay how Trump will give him everything he wants or both.

Well, The Constituion is under bombproof glass, and clearly they’re two bitch ass faggots. My threat meter is also a steady 0.

100%

Nothing was "ruined". A vacuum, a little windex and everything is back to "normal".

Getting that red shit on my clean shirt would have been my biggest concern in that moment while I pondered my next move.

Quad team taser would clearly be at the top of the list.

edited for typo "while"

Single guys: 2024 is a leap year. Tradition says women can propose to men on February 29th. Let her know you want a Barrett.

Bachelor's Day, sometimes known as Ladies' Privilege, is an Irish tradition by which women are allowed to propose to men on Leap Day, 29 February, based on a legend of Saint Bridget and Saint Patrick. It once had legal basis in Scotland and England.

While working on the set of Guns of Diablo Kurt Russell gave Charles Bronson the first birthday gift he had ever received. Bronson was 43, Russell was 14. Bronson was overcome with emotion and left the set, Russell thought he had done something to make Bronson mad. He didn't realize that was the first time anyone had ever given Bronson a gift. Later Bronson reciprocated by giving Russell a skateboard for his birthday. They were lifelong friends after that.
