The war in Ukraine and Donbas

Wonder where they pick these ports of call for pirate recruiting 🤪

Any guesses as to who was involved in the threat? The message didn't give any clues.

Any bets on Zelensky being in on it?
Its super hard to find anything on this at the moment. If its real that's going to put a kink in things behind the scenes. The real question is if France will deliver the jets now or if they will be "delayed".

The problems must really be starting to impact the bottom line. People are done with this stupidity and see zero reason for it to continue. It is becoming a very hard sell.

I have a feeling like the clot shot, in a year or so after it is all put to rest the "real" truth will start to come out, it will take many that supported the war a good long time, if ever to see that they have been made fools of yet again.

First things first, Turner just returned from Ukraine (likely having promised to push for more billions for Zelenskyy).
Second, within an hour of the report, three Members of the U.S. House Intelligence Committee have told Politico that the National Security Threat caused by a New Russian Capability is "Disturbing" but that it is a Longer-Term Concern "Not a Today thing" and that, "It is a Serious Issue but not an Immediate Crisis."

They made it sound like Nuclear powered dance boots are near operational.

Did Russia use a hypersonic missile against Ukraine recently? If so, and if it worked properly, does this give them another step in the escalation of force between troops on the ground and canned sunshine?

Fucking idiots.

Apparently Germans never learn.
Perhaps this time the Russians will make sure the Germans are never a threat for the next 1000 years or so.
Only fitting the Germans sign up with the Nazis from the Ukraine.
France probably thinks they are safe from any retaliation and wants to get in on the arms sales deal.
England is the other warmongering question mark as they may or may not also want to get in.

It seems the rest of Europe might be counting the costs and deciding they don't want to die for the glory of the Nazis

Defence alliance with France?

Maybe they can air drop a box of white flags in Avdiivka, because Ukraine troops there are in desperate need of those right now.

These poor bastards. (On both sides)
I pray we find a peaceful solution sooner than later..
Let every man who eggs on the drumbeat of war, be sent over to lead the first wave.

This ain't Afghanistan or Iraq.. and Russia has yet to take the gloves off. The moment we have overt American presence in theater... expect China and Iran to jump from the frying pan into the fire the very next day...
And the day after that? Me.. your sons, nephews, etc to be mobilized for the meat grinder.
I don't mind fighting and dying if the cause is just.. but this ain't that.

That video is probably BS there were two videos from the same location dated Friday/ Saturday filming live hits of FABs somewhere near and soldiers took it rather stoically with much humour - though in the end most of them probably stayed there for good. Comparing that to Acorn strikes in US kind of makes me wish for “average Joe” to meet Ivan on the battlefield and filmed for educational purposes of course. I really feel for you guys that must live your life surrounded by whales and mental midgets.

Story changed fast from , Ukraine hardly lost any men during the retreat to thousand POW and MIA in a disorderly retreat , wounded were all left behind in Avdiivka; Azov battalion got mauled pretty badly . Nothing is as confidence aspiring as leaving behind the wounded.

--3rd Azov Brigade didn't follow orders, stopped short of fully committing to relieving Avdiivka, and still got badly mauled in the process
--Some units in the city directly negotiated with the Russians for the surrender of their troops and wounded
--The SBU has been ordered to crack down on commanders not ordering their men to stand and fight, over concerns that it could snowball into a general rout.

The current spin is the Ukes are losing because they lack the ammo to fight because Republicans in Congress refuse to provide it. But Ukraine has lots of cash, it just can't buy ammo that doesn't exist. The funding under debate is for the latter half of 2024 and 2025.

Meh,

The Republicans will accept that mantle and turn it into losses to Democrats.

That shell fragment is too large and the shape is wrong for it to have been from a fired shell detonating on impact. It’s far far more likely to be the remains of a
“low order” detonation - an EOD technique. The splash on the road doesn’t look right either.

What a difference a couple of days make

*Caveat here is 3billion over 10years

Folks don't quite get the math associated with the aid

Even if this gets passed a 60billion today is not buying you same as a 60billion did 2years ago

2y ago US and EU supplied mostly surplus stuff that was at times decades old = cheap and readily available from storage

Besides being old and cheap its was also bought at the price point not attainable now ,for example when US army bought stingers last time around they cost something like 30k$ a piece , now Raytheon is charging 400k. So even if it was calculated at purchase prices (which it was not , remember those miraculous billions that were found by depreciating the value for surplus gifted to Ukraine).

We supplied thousands of tanks and APCs from ex Warsaw pact that cost peanuts per unit, supply new today you are looking at 4-6mio IFVs and 12mio $ tank, like with much of the new vs old stuff, sometimes you are looking at getting less than a tenth of supply same billions bought 2 years ago.

Like France is pledging 3billion over 10 years , Germany pledged a new defense pact worth 3 billion and with deliveries of grand total of 18x howitzers till 2027 each one of these costs 20+million $ ,vs less than 2mio for refurbed surplus howitzer of same type
While money seems in billions gear bought with these billions is in dozens not in hundreds or thousands

Whole goal of these aid packages is not aid to Ukraine but to load up the order books of MIC funded with taxpayers money before folks loose the appetite to fund all this.
