I wanted to quote Functional's post about Jeep Bros (that I eventually edited into the post) but initially necro-quoted your Feb 23 post instead where you had two white jeeps with your rifle. Discovered once posted and changed to Functional's post.

As to why the brother didn't just tap the brakes, I just don't know.

One of my AIs on the 100yd range for zero.

There was so much time to brake or steer away, I just don’t see how you can have a such a lack of skill, maybe they just turned 16?

Either the brakes failed (doubtful) or he panicked and stomped on what he thought was the brakes but was the accelerator. Like those folks that claimed their cars had “unintended acceleration” defects after they ran over someone.

They will literally swear on their deathbed that they were on the brakes.

Some freaked out because the floor mats snuck over the gas pedal a little, blipping the throttle and they spazzed.

Regarding the trigger adjustability of the AI factory trigger depicted in the below video, what are the pitfalls to watch out for when adjusting it?

Will the adjustment screw eventually come out or is it captive?

Are light primer strikes a concern?

Anything else?

Thank you in advance for any advice.

-Stan

People that adjust or replace AI triggers are trying to make up for their bad fundamentals…..dont be that guy👍😆

Shot the MC in the season opener at White Oak Creek Range today, running the 300NM barrel using 245 Bergers, New forearm assembly worked well. I managed to pull off 10th overall and 4th in light gun.

15 people have already searched on line and purchased that bipod, 10 are still wondering what it is and 5 are at home jury-rigging something in their garage.

What a beautiful range!

Opens every Sunday and the regular R4 crew will be out there this morning at 0715 placing targets for a 0745 safety brief and first shot and 0800.

ETA - One of these days I'll actually figure out multi-quote...

ROing a 2 day this weekend and honestly .... got a little atx envy. Pretty nice rifles in person.

I still don't like elite sand though. It looks like it's confused on what color it wants to be. Like some blue haired people.....
I had an ES early on... They kind of changed color based on lighting and what was around them.

There's definitely some elite sand guns that are more on the extreme sides of the curve. Below is the same gun with different lighting. I like mine, but I also appreciate that most of the time it looks more green outside. Plus it was different than just another black or fde rifle.

Concrete-ish

Didn't they just start up the ELR matches there this year? And have a really nice schedule of them?
Yes, this was the first official match, still a few bugs to work out with the camera system, but a really nice range setup and its less than a 3 hr drive from the house, They are also holding monthly ELR matches! I am even more pumped about the practice days they have scheduled monthly, Get the range( no cameras, just hit indicators) for a full day for $100 fee.

Feels good to finally be able to post an AI here!
Been on the hide since 2009, and have wanted a gun with a ball on the bolt handle since the early days of GWOT.
While not my favorite model, the AT-X makes most sense for shooting PRS. I got the rifle from a member here, and have since upgraded it to where it sits currently.

Looking forward to the local match next month!!

The 6BR with HRD spacers was nosediving constantly on the last 2 rounds.

Have you tried pushing the rounds to the FRONT of the magazine? Letting them feed from there as opposed to the back.
I use 6GT with 110gr ATIP' now to try and keep it as long as possible, haven't had any issues since messing around with the above.

I'll start loading the mags with the rounds forward and see how it goes.

What do you think you are doing? Move that pic rail and then you’ll have more room for weights!

Checking zero off set this morning on this ridiculously long Bartlien barrel SPR spun up for me.

I can’t believe I can actually upload pictures and post from Bumfuck Virginia
I've never had signal at that IWLA range, but then I'm on Verizon and it seems we're in some black hole down there.

Also, first shot at 0900, plenty of time for the rain to start and the wind to come up!

The Verizon must only work when there’s a full value wind and the drizzle is coming at you sideways. Mine worked.

I know this is a transgender AI but I neglected to take a of picture of him when he was shooting his AI AT this morning.

Meet Colonel Rock, USA, retired. This is the hardest motherfucker I know.

This time last week he was in Thailand, no shit.

He’s north of seventy, has been in every US war you know about (and some you don’t) since 1968, has one lung, three Purple Hearts, and runs five miles every evening, rain or shine.

This dude is almost single-handedly responsible for Range 4 being opened every Sunday. He was there last Sunday (I wasn’t) and was shooting clay birds in the impact area (1040 yards) in 24F weather .

This is who I wanna be when I grow up.

Would have been cool if he was enlisted... Could have been Sgt. Rock. 🤣

Any of you fellas tote your AT for mountain hunts?

I'm doing a 2nd rifle elk hunt in CO this October and even though she's a portly gal, I really want to to take my AT with 19" .308 or 24" 6mm Creed barrel. I really don't want to go spend $1800+ on a new rifle and scope for one hunt and I'm confident as hell with the AT/T6Xi combo.

Fools errand? Full blown masochism? Good idea or somewhere in between?

Fwiw this is my first elk hunt but I've got a solid network of family and friends in that area. The 30/30 next to the AT will be going on the trip as a backup and a brush gun if they hide out in the thickets.

There is not right or wrong answer. The rifle is up to the challenge if you are willing to pack it. It's heavier then I'd normally pack, but since I switched to a gun bearer style sling that attaches to my pack the weight is less important since my pack frame carries the weight.

Good point about the sling. I've got just a slingster that I have used for it locally but I know for sure that won't cut it out west.

I'm going to practice through the summer and maybe take it on some hikes to see what it's like to go further than 2-3 miles in a go.

Also thinking about trying to find a 338 Federal barrel. Maybe 22" and work up a good load for that too.
