Nearly Mint Condition JM Marlin 336 - $1000 OBO.

Much higher potential for accuracy with this "end cap magazine" model than the barrel band models.

I have not shot this gun. I took it in a trade to compare it against my brand new Rossi 30-30 and decided that I'd rather drag the Rossi through the mud than this classic Marlin. It's not absolutely perfect, there are a couple of light marks from handling, but it wouldn't be hard to believe that it had never been fired. It certainly has spent the majority of its life in a safe or on a wall.

Would also like photos of the end of the barrel showing what you can of the rifling (I know photos of that can be tricky). It's a 1973 model by the way.

Could be just the way the photos look, but appears the forearm has been refinished. Do you know for sure?

I don’t know the history of the gun except that it hung on a wall for roughly the last decade. It doesn’t look like the fore end has been refinished to me in-person, but that’s just my opinion.

Not sure that this is that helpful, but it’s the best I could manage. Looking down the whole barrel the rifling is very crisp. It may have been shot sometime in the last 50 years, but there’s nothing that stands out to me to say that’s necessarily the case. Very clean overall.
