Hey, its been 2 weeks since I sent the payment and you still haven't sent me the press, or responded to my messages. What's the deal.

Check to make sure it’s the right screen name. A lot of people getting scammed with look alike screen names.
This one is interesting. Shows joined in 2017 so I would assume legit (in fact I actually wanted to buy this but saw it was taken) but they never posted until this year??? That sure is playing the long game for a scam. Did SH back end get hacked?

So Tmart61 is my buddy and he's not a forum guy, doesn't know all the ends and outs. He sent payment via F&F on PayPal a couple weeks ago and the guy has ghosted him.

I sent the dude a PM asking if it was still available and he did respond saying it wasn't and I told him it wasn't marked sold.

He's since posted a Geisele trigger for sale so he's still active.

Bottom line, he took my buddies money two weeks ago with no response so even if he ain't a scammer he's a piece of shit to deal with and he's still going....

Hopefully mods can check into this asshat.

Yeah it sounds like the seller may just be incredibly difficult to deal with and isn’t in a hurry to ship it (it has happened to me before), but the lack of communication is infuriating. @Themagundaog you owe us an answer!!

Yeah the fact that he can't take the time to respond and ship an item that's long been paid for BUT DOES take the time to post other shit for sale makes him 100% a piece of shit IMO.

I hate to say it, but this has all the hallmarks of a scammer impersonating the OP. Especially the "can you send a screenshot of the payment". Classic scammer technique. Hope I'm wrong, but you should report this to a moderator asap.

There is a “ . “ at the end of the user name in the messages. It’s not the same person.

How does he do that?

You were scammed by a guy with a period at the end of his name. I've dealt with the real Themagundaog and he's a good guy. You sent money to "Themagundaog." so you might want to remove your negative feedback from the actual guy. His actual paypal ends in a @yahoo.com email and it links to his name, not that outlook address. :(

This is why I asked in the first post about it being the correct screen name. People really need to pay attention to what’s going on here. This has been going on for a month or so. It sucks it happened.

You sent the money to the wrong guy. Sorry buyer, but you got fucked.

How does he do that?
Here's what Frank says to do:

That is not the seller. That is a scammer. You were in a rush and didn’t look that that person was not a supporter so couldn’t put anything for sale and also had no posts.

This is a good learning and teaching moment for anyone reading this. Scammers have been targeting people saying “I’ll take it” in for sale posts.

So who posted this thread???

The guy selling the press did. He had nothing to do with this scam.

So who posted this thread???

"Themagundaog" posted the thread. Your friend posted a public response that he wanted it. Scammers watch for this, and a scammer then created an accounted called "Themagundaog." - this is the person who DM'd your friend. This is the person who gave you the outlook.com paypal email. After your friend sent money to "Themagundaog." instead of "Themagundaog" the money was lost. Especially since now time has gone by. He may be able to dispute with his credit card, but paypal will cancel his account if he is successful because he sent it friends and family, so they won't issue a refund and if you get a refund by chargeback they'll usually nuke your paypal account. Sorry this happened, but that is what happened. As I said before, you may want to remove the feedback from "Themagundaog" since he did not do anything to you.

Thanks for the explanation, I'm curious though why the OP hasn't reached UT or responded to this thread??

Well, he may not even know yet. He probably didn't get any notifications until tonight, and your friend was DM'ing the wrong person so he was never alerted. A check of his profile shows Last seen Yesterday at 7:50 PM so he may not even be on today.

I would definitely have your buddy @Tmart61 send a dm to @alexj-12 and have her remove the negative feedback for the real @Themagundaog
It was no fault of his and he still has items that are actively listed for sale.

I didn’t take anyone’s money, this press was sold to @leethal and was shipped.

I had no idea this was happening until I got a message from @Trevor300wsm. I’ll do whatever I can to help the situation.

Talk about not knowing WTF is going on, WE DIDN'T EITHER! I would never trash someone if I didn't think he was the scammer, I did this to protect others from being scammed by whomever it was.

I apologized for the misunderstanding in PM, and i apologize here on the open forum.

My buddy is going to get the negative feedback taken down as well, I guess he just got fucked out of $325 dollars.

One thing that would help out in the classified is to mark your items sold and to whom, that locks the post up and doesn't allow scammers to sneak in which is exactly what happened in this case.
