I tell everyone at my age life in prison is not much of a deterrent to stop me from protecting US .

He wasn't. That situation is several hundred miles away from this area. In fact, there's plenty of wire in this area that has never been touched or cut once it was put up.
Not gonna play the hide politics game with continuing to respond to this, but I've personally arrested hundreds of illegals (real, not families surrendering) alongside this Agent over several years. We've worked side by side with Texas DPS in many joint operations. The things happening with the wire far away is a very unique/isolated situation the media has fixated on (with good reason), but doesn't represent the majority of work that happens on the border where almost no one sees or has knowledge of.
To be honest, there's really no political agenda to blame for this....be it conservative or liberal. National Guard air support with CBP personnel onboard has been a standard thing for a very long time....before most anything currently happening started.
He was a kind person and a better man that most of us will ever be capable of. Among other things, he has small children he left behind. And no amount of politics or bickering from a keyboard is going to change that.

NY, they still haven’t released the names yet, so I won’t put that out yet, but I know the next of kin has been notified,but they’re part of my unit, all 3 very young, I know all 3 of them personally…. This one is very hard on me. This is the 2nd aircraft crash involving within 3 years involving Soldiers I personally know, and from my state and under my BDE.
Keep praying for the one soldier still fighting, believe they updated him to stable from critical and he was talking last night. If he survives, he’s going to have a long road ahead of him and he will never be made whole or be the same
I know for a fact, the 3 national guard Soldiers weren’t, ma job types
I'm no expert but that helicopter looks survivable , I was in a hard landing back in the 70's, not near as hard as that obviously was, but limped away with minor injuries, although my ankles give me alot of trouble now , wonder if all the people on board were killed or just the ones listed.

RIP CW2 John Grassia and CW2 Casey Frankoski, you are gone but not forgotten, you both have left me with a ton of memories and now that is all I have. I am happy to have served along side of you and you have left this world way too soon and will be missed immensely.
