I suppose I could have missed a post but I make a point to try and see them all. What page was it on?

do sweat it mate, its not like we dont repeat jokes we've heard a 100 times, its only when the laughter stops that we work out the jokes gotten old. my guess it would be in the uk funnies section, this is the rest of the worlds funny section :ROFLMAO:

Did anyone ever tell Bearclaw that grizzly bears hybernate in the winter and going up higher where winter stays longer wasn't going to improve his chances of finding any?
Fuck a bunch of Will Gere. Howsomeever: Hunting Grizz for pelts is done in winter. The trapper crawls into the den, and kills the animal right there, face to face. The Character (not Ol Will), probably collected claws from early or late season bears, that he stumbled on raiding his traps. A trapper I knew in Oregon had quite a collection of all sorts of claws. He trapped everywhere, including Alaska. One evening he told a yarn to my kids, about how he'd survive a winter storm by crawling into the den of a hibernating bear, and snuggle up next to it. Crawled into a momma bears den, and pushed a 200 lb cub aside and shared the milk, for almost a week, until the storm passed. Couldn't make himself take a bear after that.

Sounds plausible. Hatchet Jack lived with a she mountain lion in a cave up in the Musselshell. She never did get used to him. I shacked up with a fat waitress in the winter of '85 when the economy tanked.

The Cobra was the escort...

I'll leave Cliff Clavin out of this...

Main helicopter doing the lift is a Sea King, I think. Not sure the USAF was flying those in the '60s.

Cheers,

Sirhr
The Sea King was the SH-3 and had 2 engines and did not have a back ramp and had support struts going down to the stub wings/fuel pylons on the sides. The HH/CH-52 was the USCG single engine scaled down, Sea King. CH/HH 53's(Jolly Green Giants) started showing up in RVN in '67 and after and had the back ramp and more aerodynamic winglets/tanks like in the origional photo. Sea King below
