My warne mountain tech rings are far too short. Don’t want to skimp on scope rings but don’t need anything fancy. I’ve seen the M10 one piece recommended but not sure I need to spend that much.

Any recommendations for no frills, 30mm scopes that just work? I need approx .650+” under the scope to get clearance and eye height alignment

Seekins are in the PX for around $100 frequently. I like the MBrace also and those are pretty reasonable in the PX as well but not as often.

There really are no bad rings today as long as you buy from one of the good companies.

Seekins, Hawkins, MPA, Grey Ops, Spuhr, Badger, A419, Nightforce, even the US made Vortex rings. I would stay away from the newer ARC mbrace rings, seen to many failures. The older M10 rings seemed to hold up much better and have a great track record.

Hawkins are really hard to beat for the money IMO. They are wonderfully machined and waste no material.

Thanks all!
Are the Burris extreme tactical rings or XLR’s rings worth a look?
I’ve used many Burris XTR rings. Also have used many Pepr mounts. Never had an issue and still use many of them today. Probably 4-6 pairs of rings or mounts

My go to for decent optics though have always been Leupold MK4, NF and badger. I also have several spuhr mounts but after seeing them crack I’m not sold on their toughness.

Shop in the px. Lots of rings. A guy posted a bunch for sale earlier today.

I guess my idea of no frills is a little less $$ than some of the others mentioned. I have had luck with

I also have the Burris XTR rings as well. I really like the cant options available.

If those above are pricey, buy used. No harm in waiting until something pops up in the PX.

I've had very good luck with these:

For a little bit more:

ARC MBrace rings are worth the coin. You don't need the one piece mount, you can get the individual rings. If you're on a budget, Seekins works pretty good too.
This. Great rings, not talking about the one piece.

I have used these rings for a couple of rifles they are made in the us and solid.

I have and use plenty of these.

They're the only ones that have come with the wrong screws, and it's annoying at times that the nuts on the cross bar aren't captured.

They've always been straight, and for $40 I can't ask for more.

I'm a big fan of Sportsmatch - they made the AI rings, and are very fairly priced. The Burris rings with inserts are very good value too, and being able to fit offset inserts can be a gamesaver on occasion.

Never had wrong screws. The cross bar not being captured, yea its a minor annoyance but one they are installed
they are solid and at least your not paying $400 and pissed because the plate cracked.

when did this become a cheap shitty ring thread? pay the money for good rings or you deserve to lose zero.

I will be pulling an MDT and ARC 1 pierce mounts and replacing them with seekins rings. I just have not seen the benefit of the higher end 1 piece mounts. I get the theory but in practice haven’t seen a benefit and honestly have seen a down side with taking up all my rail space and ejection issues with brass clipping the edge of the mount on 1 of my actions

1 exception is my sphur mount on my TRG that mounts direct to the trg rail.

Just like the many others who posted above.

Seekins / Vortex Precision Matched are my go to standard. I have a few one piece mounts and more expensive rings, but they really don't offer much over the Seekins/PMR

I did use the less expensive Vortex Pro on a 22lr before and they worked fine. I didn't have that scope or those rings for long though, so I can't speak to longevity or beatings because of heavy handed use

Ended up purchasing a set of Nightforce extreme rings from a member on here for $85. Figured I wouldn’t regret buying Nightforce but I’m sure the others (Seekins, badger, etc) are good to but this is just what I found first for what I thought was a reasonable price

Sportsmatch for no frills. I mean, those things don’t cost much and are very good.

But really, with rings even more than scopes, you’re gonna have these things for the rest of your life. I’d buy ARC Mbrace because they make my scope life easy.
