I can assure you that if that guy in that police car that was handcuffed had been been able to get hold of the A.R. 15 and return fire and killed that cop the court of inquiry would’ve determined that a sniper on a grassy knoll with a suppressed sniper rifle actually made that shot and everything the cop did was lawful, and that guy would’ve went to jail for the rest of his life.

I'd put a profile on Tinder, get matched with a rich simp within the next 0.003 seconds, get married, divorce him by 8pm, take ALL his shit via the court system, be back in bed at 11pm. Assuming I wake up the next day back to being a man, I should have enough to open my gun store complete with a custom muzzleloading and BPCR build shop in the back. 😂

If it’s been in the salt very long it never cures quite right.

At least IME.

actually, and this is 30+ years ago,i made a coffee table out of "drift wood" from a keys salt flat. i don't remember time but it eventually cleaned out after many rinsings and rains. gave no prob sealing with polyurethane. time has taken memory specifics but IMHO it came out well.

Love my Whites boots as well. Wear them every day at work and some of the pairs have been resoled 3+ times.

You busting your ass if your wearing out whites, I’ve seen many pair resoled but never worn out……
@ZiaHunter , a nice selection; my current selection are two pair of packers, a pair of Alaskas that I had the damaged safety toes removed (post fire academy), Drew’s Riding boots by Whites and the Cowboy packs.

@7.62willdo, 10 seasons wildland firefighting with numerous soakings in retardant and foam, then several years inspecting paving jobs (asphalt, tar, and Portland Cement Concrete) put the nail in the coffin of my Smoke Jumpers. More the chemicals than wear. My first pair of Thoroughbred Packers died from working in a feed lot and soaking up ankle and calf deep effluent. Still my most comfortable foot wear.

The most damaging thing to leather boots is wading through a muddy horse stall. Horse piss will destroy a pair of leather cowboy boots in less than a year.

My mom had to buy me a new pair of boots at the start of each school year.

I should note that both of my dead pair were over 20 years old when they got retired. Whites wouldn’t rebuild them Because of damage to the uppers. My others are going on 20-25 years and still going strong.

A funny side note, my Grandfather had a set of Whites Caulk boots when he was working for the USFS in the 1930’s. In the late 1940’s he was transferred to Sanderson Tx. as a Border Patrol officer. He took the Whites in to a local boot maker to have them re-soled to something practical. The boot maker was flabbergasted in that he had never seen caulk boots before.

I hear that! I was going through a pair of Justin’s every 6 months before I got my Whites.

I bet your grandfather could tell some stories, especially on riding the river in Sanderson in the 40's.

Thats one desolate area, or it used to be. As one Texas writer described it, Sanderson was just there to keep the rest of the world patched together.
