I can't imagine him as POTUS but many leftists view him as the future for this country. He has already met with the DNC on several occasions and many believe he is being groomed for it.

I support this. Too many Californians sell their house for 3 mil and come into our housing markets and screw them up so local folks can't afford to live there anymore, and then vote blue.

If you are so retarded that you still live in CA, it's still your fault and you should be taxed when you leave. It should be called a stupid tax.

Maybe it will protect us from all these retards fleeing what they voted for.

I was under the impression that this idea was already floated out there last year and then abandoned after it became clear that it would never hold up in court once challenged.

They need to build walls around the cities in that state! After my most recent trip to visit family caught behind the lines I have to say that I was surprisingly shocked at how conservative some of the areas in CA are. It's the urban crap holes that are the problem, maybe birds of the moron feather need a city to flock together? If we could wall off San Fran, Sacramento, LA the state would be ssssooooooo much better.

San Diego use to be pretty conservative, but that has changed. It's now a homeless camp downtown.

My first visit to Kalifornia was 1980…San Francisco (my first exposure to serious faggotry). A few other trips courtesy Uncle Sam. Other than a school on a remote Army post up north, it sucked.

Perhaps some of the faggorty was imported from other states, but CA perfected it.

California used to be the best. We designed and built high tech stuff: cars, planes, computers, etc. We had a great economy. Everyone wanted to move here. Now everyone wants to leave, but not to Florida where giant mosquitoes spread aids.

I was at closing and knew to the dime what I was getting for my house after all closing costs etc. There was this one line for like $5,000 something and I looked at attorney and said what is this? He started off with this long explanation then stopped himself and said, basically a tax for you moving out of state!

They don't call it that and how they get around it.

I`m not sure it can either. It`s interesting. You could probably find no small number of folks from outside California who would be in favor of this. Anything to keep people who would vote into office a Gavin Newsome from leaving and infecting other states with their nutso politics! In all honesty, as the OP, I have to admit that upon reflection I might have to become a proponent of said tax myself!

Many states do this with the sale of a home now, whether you move out or not.

Florida has a real estate transfer tax on private property of $0.70 per $1000.

California’s is currently $0.55 per $500.

I remember as a kid San Diego had a really cool Punk/Rock scene going. Back in the Frank Zappa time frame. They had some really nice restaurants down there (I miss having good seafood, living in the south you'd expect to have it but).
