Well I'll be damned. Now I either need a new front or new rear.

Who does custom cerakote on plastic? After getting an AW, I think it would be worthwhile getting the AT green to match the old AI green.

Our guy can likely match up the color. Here's the matching he did with a barreled action. If interested, send an email to us at

[email protected] with what you have and what you're looking to match and we'll have him take a look.

If going Flecktarn or other custom camo, @Short-bus is the man. Aka. Custom Gun Coatings.

That pic Rio just posted looks good. Looks like his guy has good ability to match.

Going to top the AXSR with a ZCO527.

I wanted to get the S&B 6-36 for it but I heard the ocular is too big for the camera.

Anyone here running a trigger cam on their ZCO topped AI? You like it?

Elite Lunar Sand for tax…

Pretty much any cerakote applicator...
If it can take being in your car in the dead of summer it can take the 170 degrees needed to set the H series

Guys are doing custom video game controllers & computer keyboards

If it can take 170 you can put h series on it

grip and mag for example I did in the same h series just to learn more about plastic vs aluminum finishing

You axsr/at/atx dudes and dudettes using anti seize when swapping barrels?

I’ve hand tightened and expect I could get it off with a wrench if I needed to.

Since we aren’t torquing them down I figured it isn’t needed but curious what you guys are doing.

I do

A small dab of nickel anti seize and away I go

And I snap torque the barrel on

I never used anything more than a small drop of oil on the threads. Since the barrels aren't being torqued on I don't think there's a realistic chance of seizing.

I've never used anti-seize on any of my AI rifles just a little oil

Oil, good hard hand tighten..torque take down screw to spec. Never had one seize or ever be an issue removing.

I use 1 drop of CLP and snap-tight my barrel on.

I'm also guilty of swapping barrels every couple hundred rounds to clean thoroughly. I'm not going to lie, the QC feature has me spoiled in that regard.

When I deep clean AKA rip it complete apart, I’ll put a drop on the threads. I hand tighten and then give a little “boop” with a wrench. Never had an issue with anything locking up.

I used to play this PC game called Arma a bunch, and with the right mods enabled it has fairly realistic ballistics. To get accurate hits with all the realism mods enabled you have to use real world equipment like Kestrels and range finders in realistic ways ... e.g. you have to hold your Kestrel into the wind to get accurate readings and the wind shifts with terrain and ever changing weather. You can even catch trace in your optic under the right circumstances and you have breath control, wobble and all that to deal with as well. With a little bit of tinkering in the mission editor you can turn it into a fun little wind call trainer for a variety of reticles and with the right mods you can even run an AI AXMC in .308, .338LM or .300WM ... figured y'all might get a chuckle out of this.

Out of curiosity whose AXSR has the most rounds on it?
But to answer your question… 3,158 since getting it in Dec 2022.

EDIT: I’m an idiot and put 2023 and not 2022 😂😂😂 that’s what I get for posting before 6am while chugging PWO.

What the heck do you do that gives you the time to burn 260 rounds a week!?
I compete with it every month and then hit the range at least once a week if I can.

Desert all around with spots to shoot within 30-45 mins or a 500yd range 15 mins from my door. So it makes it easy,

Which you’d think I’d be a lot better than I am with that many rounds fired 😂😂😂🤔🤔🤔🥲🥲☹️☹️☹️😢😢😢

I purchased an Elite Sand 6CM barrel recently. 1:7.25 twist Bartlein.

I'm pretty sure it's due to the color...but that barrel is the most forgiving thing I've ever shot. Haters gonna hate.
