Tac Ops Rifles

All joking aside….you don’t buy a tac ops to shoot hand loads.

If you want to shoot hand loads don’t wait a year and just buy a impact with a prefit proof 😂

I know the deal 🤣

It gets fed a constant supply of FGMM.

However I have 200 pieces of Lapua brass shot through this rifle (from Southwest ammo when they were a thing), and I would love to get some reloads out of them.

Problem is you’ll be spoiled by the FGM and you might learn that your hand loads suck lol

I got 3rd behind the Mississippi Troopers.
Myself and a my coworker went to that class a few years back and I finished 2nd with my coworker taking first and with a officer from Gulfport taking 3rd. I was shooting a rh old R700 rom Sniper Central sitting in a manners stock nothing like these works of art here.

I put the class on a request list again this year... went to Max Ordinate Academy last year, need to get in on one of Terry's classes, love going classes every year.

Looks promising

Just picked this up today! About 5 months to get the stamp on an E-Form 4. I still need to get a scope for it, but I was able to fire a few rounds just to hear how well the silencer works. It makes "Hollywood quiet movie silencers" sound loud by comparison! The CCI Quiet-22 at 710FPS also helps keep the sound down, but the Green Hornet is noticeably more quiet than my other .22LR rifles using regular .22LR silencers (TBAC .22 TD, Q Erector, Dead Air Mask, etc.). I'm very impressed by the sound and the build quality! This is my first Tac Ops rifle, and I'm glad that I bought it!

I sent Mike a donor rifle, the Ruger 77/22 used for this Green Hornet was made in 1984, same year as I was born and it's the first year for the 77/22 rifles. It's not necessary to use a vintage rifle for the build, but I just wanted the rifle to be a little bit more special. I also have serial number 100 for the Green Hornet silencer, so that just adds to the awesomeness, lol. Thank you, @MikeRTacOps! I'll be shooting this new rifle quite a bit this year!

i love my green hornet too but you're gonna want more oomph than that. i haven't gotten to do a full stepped test to see what's subsonic based on the box speed but it bleeds velocity based off what ive seen.

going to try some stuff around 1250 fps and see if it comes up subsonic

I've tried Green Tag, and I didn't think that it shot any different than the CCI Standard Velocity ammo I have. I'm not even sure there's a difference between the 2, except for the price. The CCI Quite-22 has been perfect for my needs so far. Extremely quiet due the the very low velocity, and the fragmenting bullets have worked out well on all the small game I've shot. I just hope it groups well in this new rifle, or I'll have to choose something else to use. The Green Hornet obviously has a shorter barrel, so I'll lose more velocity, but that's not necessarily bad in my situation (average shot distance is about 15 yards for pest control). I probably have a dozen different kinds of .22LR on hand at all times, so I can even throw some high end stuff in there and see how it is. I'm just excited to go out an shoot my new rifle!

Your most welcome my Ninja 🥷. If you think the Green Hornet is Hollywood quiet. You should hear my clandestine 12 suppressed 12 gauge shotgun it's the E Ticket...

You post that with no pictures? Got to give the rest of these guys something to have fun to with their blow ups.

CCI mini mags are just as quiet as subs thru my Green Hornet. He ports the barrel like an MP5SD.
