I’m eyeing a M82 on Gunbroker explicitly one from from Firearm land as it’s on an auction below the check out now ones. Besides the run of the mill questions does anyone have any “corporate knowledge” type questions to ask them? I already asked about how all the welds look.

Also, what would be a don’t go higher than price to pay? Thank you in advance.

I’m not worried about a suppressor for the .50 it’s for static shooting at a known distance, while it’d be a nice to have I’m not worried about it personally.

Buy the hydraulic buffer from Barret and drop it in. Much less felt recoil. It’s definitely worth it. Also you can polish the trigger in places to get a much smoother and lighter trigger pull.

I really feel like for a .50 - it has a pretty gentle “push” to it already. My 30.06 feels more violent for felt recoil.

The hydraulic buffer is the difference between loosing your sight picture during recoil, or keeping your sight picture and seeing your hits for follow up shots.

Barrett at one time made an upgrade for the M82a1 which allowed it to be suppressed. If I remember correctly, it costs about $6k and only came in black. Rifles with that upgrade are out there.
