Agreed that both charts are fucked up and made to target a specific audience.
Take these charts for example, in a comparison for best load for bear:
Again, is it a fair comparison? That depends upon what you are trying to accomplish.
In the above example, once again the .44 mag load is using 10 more grains of powder to push a bullet that’s 100 grains heavier. Is that useful information? Yes. Is it a direct comparison? Hardly.
What’s missing from this one is that the 10mm is usually carried and used in an autoloader and the .44 magnum is usually carried and used in a wheel gun, with the notable exception of the brick that’s made by Magnum Research.
I'm not gonna start anything, but those two are poor examples of either cartridge and neither is a "best load for bear". 500 ft lbs for 10mm is low end. 900 for .44 is on the low-mid side. Both would use hard cast or mono metal slugs for bear. At the end of the day, 10mm is a better analog for .357 mag, not .44. If it's absolute power you crave then it's .44 all day.

There's also at least 200fps (realistically, 300fps) more velocity available in a proper 44/300 load.
It's a lot more to handle, but I bet it changes the test by a large margin.

but,
10mm 115 grains 4.25" barrel vs 44mag 240 grain 6.5"..
1.25 inches in barrel length is huge in pistol - 10 mm with another .75 on the barrel
I would say I’ve found quoted 10mm velocities on the internet to often be highly optimistic. I’m not impressed with nor a huge fan. And the reason I’ve only owned five of them.

If I had to pick, I'd opt for the 44mag with a 300 gr Buffalo bore. Reason being, I want something that is more likely to break a shoulder bone, at a minimum so his ass drops far enough away from me. Penetration and foot pounds of energy.

An opportunity was wasted here by not using a handgun that's 'cocked and locked'...
