Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
What do most guys that are pulling barrels early to avoid a barrel going out mid match do with there barrels? Give them to sombody or do they end up getting sold on the classifieds? Don't see many high round count barrels for sale.
I feel very fortunate that a friend decided to invest the money and the time in a lathe, so I now give them to him where he cuts a few inches off and re-chambers it. It becomes a practice barrel with a little more life.
I depends on how the barrel was shooting when it was pulled. If it was shooting well, it is set aside for the practice rifles. If I was in any way unhappy with the way it was shooting, it goes to the scrap yard.
Ya, thats the elephant in the room. The last used barrel I bought years ago was a 6cm that had "no more than 100 rnds" on it. I didn't borescope it. 500 rounds later is was some of the worst firecracking I've seen shooting almost 2moa and a setback in chamber didn't change it.
