Got the inside cleaned up. The rubber floor mat still looks dirty but is better. I took the ugly running boards off and the transfer tank out. I have the cap/shell off to get the tank out but I am leaving it off for now. Will clean up the outside tomorrow. Runs and drives great, dash is perfect. The bed had a liner but it was cut around the transfer tank so I took it out too, bed is really nice. Included was a NIB set of new Mopar tow mirrors, I may put them on tomorrow….in the down position 😅 I can’t stand the moose antler look. Zero rust…. Old man creampuff Cummins.

OK, last pictures for a while but this is truly a nice truck.

The outside cleaned up really good and the only thing inside I’m not satisfied with is the rubber floor mat. I may just replace it or put carpet in it.

My friend who sold me this, his dad was named James so I’m going to call this truck Jimmy.

A spray on bed liner would be a nice addition. Love the one in my 2018 Ram 2500.

2wd pickups are extremely rare here.
But damn that would make a nice runaround pickup, to go to town for parts and such.
I'll bet it just sips fuel and taken care of should last forever.
Nice find!!!

I can't say that I either like or dislike Bill Maher but dang if it doesn't give me pause when I start agreeing with his position...

Also... rules-

Same here, every once in awhile I hear him say something as I'm walking through the room and I have to rewind it a couple times to see if I heard it right.

Looks like a pretty nice ride.

More pictures?
A funny side story about this truck. When I went to pick it up, I ate supper with my friends I bought it from, then left. It was raining hard and when I got to my first real turn, I had to wait for oncoming traffic to get on the highway. I was looking at the traffic waiting for a chance to go when Wham! I was hit from behind.

A 16-year-old girl had failed to stop and had hit me right in the back bumper at about 20mph. I got out to see if everyone was OK, and the poor girl was beside herself. I tried to calm her down by telling her we were both OK, and that it was just stuff. She kept apologizing with tears streaming down. She had just got her license that week and she had paid for that car herself. We waited for her dad to come and we called the Highway Patrol. While I was talking with her dad, I realized he was raising this girl right. She was a hard worker, I hated to see her not be able to afford her car insurance.

My back bumper on the right side was pushed forward about an inch, but that was the only damage. Meanwhile, the front bumper, headlight and some other stuff was torn up pretty bad on her car. I asked the patrolman to not give her a ticket … he obliged and let us exchange information, and I felt really good that this girl was going to not have as bad of a day as it could have been. I told her to work some overtime and get her car fixed and chalk it up to education.

These old trucks are tough ☺️

No rust is a rare thing up here in salty winter road headquarters.

Yah, hope driver still has his toes and feet! Bad deal, must not have had a scatter shield around bellhousing.
So that's an EXIT wound?? I previously had assumed that was something parked in the line of fire near a racetrack.
