I'm fairly familiar with the AB app and have used it for years. Just purchased a kestrel 5700 elite. Is it possible to transfer my app profiles to the kestrel? I did download the link app but don't want to have to rebuild all my profiles. Also I don't believe you can program mv and dsf calculations.

nope. You’re gonna have to build them. The best way to deal with profiles is use the free profile loader in pc and the cable to edit profiles on the kestrel. Personally I think the kestrel app is absolutely horrible.

Never done the computer thing but might have to. So if I go the PC route will it talk to everything else? My phone, kestrel, and my mars lrf? Building profiles is easy but reshooting everything to get dsf corrections again is not

I can’t answer that 100% all I know is transferring profiles to the kestrel can only be done via the PC and the profile loader app or via the Kestrel LiNK app or building them by hand in the Kestral itself what the Kestral can transfer them once they’re on the Kestral. I don’t know.

@DocUSMCRetired is this something that could be added to the app? Or at least profile sync between the AB app and the LiNK Ballistics app?

Next similar question will kestrel link app talk to other AB enabled devices like LRF or binos? Or still have to have a second set of profiles on AB connect app for that?

Would be nice if everything AB could talk to each other for profiles at least.
The AB ballistic app blows ass, The kestrel app to load profiles is quirky to say the least also.

No you will need a separate app and profiles for LRF or Binos. It would be nice if they could all get on the same page and figure out a central app but that's probably a nightmare for the mfg so they just choose to use their own app.

I suppose this kinda depends how you want to use the LRF and Kestrel. I have my sig 10k's linked to my kestrel so that when I range something the solution populates on my Kestrel, that way it uses the kestrel profile and I can capture the wind with kestrel and or tweak it if I want. Playing with the wind in the binos is a bit cumbersome

We have something planned for a release this summer. 4 - 6 months maybe. An entirely new project with all new features. As long as field testing continues to go well, the civilian version will be out soon after.

Seems to be coming along great so far. We have a companion product that will work with it coming out hopefully in 2 - 3 weeks.
I’m hoping it’s central hub that can take inputs from any AB device and output it to any AB device.

Ideally link the kestrel to it feeding weather data. Link the LRF for range and inclination and output to any AB calculator device or any device capable of showing a solution.

This is the way.

That's how I run my sig bino's. Basically it can do that. It doesn't take the angle I don't think, I need to check if that's possible
I also have the kestrel hud I can mount to the rifle and it will display the data right there.
