Can't shoot and definitely can't run.

Saw that. Dude took one hell of a hit from that rail track truck.

Why are you trying to "truck jack" that truck?

I am having a difficult time understanding how he failed to hit the truckjacker from point blank range.
Right? How many shots fired and only managed to hit the dude in the shoulder? WTF?

Did you ever see that clip of a cop and a perp shooting at each other across the hood of the patrol car? Both emptied their weapons and neither was hit.

When you get excited you lose control of your motor function.

Public hanging for this guy! Guy just trying to do his job, and then tries to help prevent crime. His reward is death, what a fucked up world we are living in. If that was my family member douchebag would never make it to prison. What a piece of shit!

I dont understand why more people are not doing vigilante justice. What has to happen before you sacrifice yourself for the justice of a loved one?

That would indicate it was a company truck and the yellow vest would say he was on the job.

He was a very dedicated company man to try and prevent a company vehicle from being stolen.

Apparently those RR workers will lay their lives down for the railroad, like 'Woodcock' in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

This happened in Lumberton, just as bad as fayette'nam for you non locals.

Holy shit. I just looked it up, and Fayetteville NC has some serious crime. Probably one of the worst small cities in the US. I had no idea.

If he knew how to aim and shoot with both hands instead of tenatively stabbing the gun every shot, he'd probably still be alive.

The victim acted like he didn't want to shoot him.

No truck, money or jewelry is worth m life.
I would let him have it if i am in a point of danger or disadvantage.
To what end....at some point we have to stand up for ourselves, our justice system is not standing up for us.

Easy to say when you are still alive today and typing behind a computer/phone. Your statement might be true, but have you ever had the opportunity to point a gun at a man and end his life? Sounds easy, right?

That is easy to say, the thing is you have no idea what is going on in the scrambled eggs these animals have for brains.

They will kill you if you look at them wrong. Just a look could "dis" them and send them off the edge....or not looking....you have no idea.

No one ever knows just what they are going to do. You can train and train and still just go to jelly. It is a hard thing to do, and it is pretty well set in the minds of "good people" that to kill someone is a bad thing to do.

Also what happens after can really mess up people.

Story time:
Guy driving a trash truck down the road at 3am, doing nothing wrong just working. I guess there was a party that night and boy friend and girlfriend got into a little spat, Girl takes off and is going to walk home, or I should say stagger home. I don't think I need to fill in the rest.

The guy driving the trash truck was really messed up. REALLY. He had a real hard time dealing with it.

Yea I know it is totally different, but I told that story to say after it happens to you, there is no telling how your mind is going to deal with it.

It certainly won’t stand up for you when you put a bullet into a dude. Unless you’re stuck in a blizzard, a vehicle isn’t worth all the bullshit that accompanies a shooting.

War math......70-20-10 and 96-2-2

70% find it very disturbing to pull that trigger and only do so after they are shot at
20% find it not to be an issue
10% find it downright enjoyable

96% find it terrifying to be shot at
2% find it invigorating and fun
2% want to be shot

When they figure out my post was not made in jest or to be anything less than the honest truth.
Once you've been shot at and returned the favor......

Most people are pussies, straight up.
Some rare few are severely twisted (think full metal jacket door gunner).
Others are tired and just want to go home.

Agreed, and we all know that, but at some point something has to give, before its men raping our daughters and not being held accountable.

One immediately apparent problem is people don’t know who they are voting for in their local elections. That’s where you have to start. Judges, for example, are some of the biggest pieces of shit yet people keep voting them back in cuz no one is keeping score.

In CA possession of meth was a felony. People would get 16 months in prison usually. But in reality the judgment was suspended if the perp completed probation. Now possession of meth is a misdemeanor and all that happens is they get a ticket. Of course they don’t show up to court and a bench warrant is issued. Upon arrest they are brought before the judge who gives them 5 days with good time credit and they are immediately released. In the meantime they accumulated several other tickets usually for the same thing or petty theft x10.

Nowadays the DA won’t even file a case until the perp has several tickets pending. And these judges, knowing they could give them a year, give them 5 fucking days.

Someone needs to start keeping score and educating the people come election time.

The word you were tripping over yet failed to find....

Diversion.
That is the actual legal term Ca used to use.
It was only used for first timers and could only be used once (obviously).

Diversion, joint suspension, or straight probation. That’s how nearly every crime was disposed of. And after the RAP sheet got big enough they were sent to prison. For a short time. Then the cycle repeated.

I am having a difficult time understanding how he failed to hit the truckjacker from point blank range.

My theory is that he was aiming for a limb, just like his grandpappy had instructed.

It's also possible (as events unfolded in real time) that he realized it was against his company's policy to not only conceal carry, but also self-promote to vigilante status whenever he deemed it necessary. I know my company certainly frowns upon it.

interesting, thanks

any other data points on this?

Wasn`t it Little Bill or William Muny in " Unforgiven " who talked about how it wasn`t the fastest shooter but the one who could keep his head and be more deliberate that was the deadliest in a gun fight?
