Dammit, I accidentally hit reply again when I had nothing to say, and I can never figure out how to undo that...so here....

Was cleaning up my workbench ( it’s a fucking mess) and found a detent pin. “Oh, that’s where that went.”
I learned quickly that if you’re going to mess around a bit with ARs, buy a bunch of detent pins and other assorted lower hardware. It’ll save you grief today and later.

Placing a plastic bag over the end of the lower will catch any flying detents. It just takes a little bit to get used to working with your hands in the bag.
