    An airbase that was financed by U.S. taxpayers, will we get reimbursed? No way, more charity for people who don't care or respect us.
    Probably leave behind all kinds of equipment and weapons that were paid for by the U.S. taxpayer and same equipment will eventually be used against Americans in some way or manner. Does anyone study history or learn from the mistakes of the past? Hell no!

    There are many ways the US can effect change anywhere on this rock w/o having X on Y A/O. However they are not going to stop do to the amount of money & power involved. Remember its very easy to spend OPM.

    Since we left Afghanistan with arms, vehicles and even choppers and armor to be used against us if we have to go back, and left Bagram airport in Iraq I guess we just leave them well armed and ready so it will be more fair if we go back!

    Can you blame other countries for wanting US troops to leave their place after seeing what we've been doing to other small weak countries all around the world?

    How would you like the Chinese setting up a military base staffed with unaccountable, untouchable Chinese soldiers next to your community?

    Agreed but since when do we take orders from a bunch of wannabes in an a worldwide unrecognized government. I mean I don’t want to be in Niger but I’m also not gonna let jack offs like boka haram boss me around. At the very least we should have cratered that place. I bet we left guns and vehicles too
     
    For now they are sharing a base and STDs with the Russians

    We used to do that. France comes to mind. That’s why host countries demand SOFA agreements. They pay for construction so all structures, runways, etc belong to them. Of course, we gave them the construction money.

    Russians just exploiting the anti french sentiment no wonder Macron it threatening to send troops to Ukraine. , they lost more than half of their defacto colonies on his watch.
