Since is almost impossible to find TRG22 magazines, and the only one available sells for 400 EUR, i decided to design a replacement one.
Design is optimized for 3d printing and can be disassembled like a pmag.

Tests will be performed on 2 trgs one in 308 and one in 6.5 creedmoor.

I was thinking of doing something similar for 223 CTR magazines with a longer coal.
Will be interesting to see how these turn out.

Are you going to thicken up the sidewalls much?
The TRG/CTR sheet metal is pretty thin.

Will decide definitive thickness after first print.
Sako magazines have lot of empty space inside so wall thickness should not be an issue anyway considering the way i design the internal.

Hopefully it works out.
Would be great for people with TRGs to have more options available.

Modifying it for 223 CTR usage would be pretty easy, just make the feed lips thicker. Same way they do for the factory magazines.

What are you going to do for springs?

Following along for a good project. I’ve wanted to do something similar to make a 10 round sako 85 223 mag, since waters rifleman seems to have dropped that project.

Or. Buy a Tikka CTR mag and print a new bottom plate for it.

Or a Waters Rifleman. Also cheaper.
Looks like OP is in Italy so chances are CTR magazines are pretty expensive as well (at least compared to AICS).

If it works out it could open the door to many other options as well, >10 shot magazines, 223/BR magazines, 223 magazines with much great mag capacity.

I've been toying with the idea of doing a Tikka XM mag length build and magazines are a somewhat limiting factor, this could also open the doors on possibilities there.

@st1650 not an AW magazine but definitely a potential candidate for a future high capacity 223 magazine.
Could also be a potential basis for a multical XM length Tikka build, CTR/TRG magazines will play nicely will a Tikka.

CTR mags over here (I'm in EU too) are about $150 and up depending on source. Second hand are cheaper.

One of the "problems" with printed TRG mags is space. Two of the three lugs run just over the lips and the bolt doesn't reach low enough with increased lip thickness.

The TRG doesn't come in .223.

If the XM length is not enough, it seems to me that a true medium length (30-06) is a better choice?

But do carry on!

The Tikka does come in 223 though and could do with longer COAL.
I'm not keen to start hacking away at my 223 CTR magazines as they are expensive and not as easy to come by as 223 AICS magazines.
I don't particularly like AICS mags, so if some longer (and higher capacity) 223 mags were possible then that'd be great.

The XM mag length is long enough to used short mag cartridges or longer cartridges (284win 6.5x55 etc).

Maybe the OP has some spare time and wants to see if it's possible?
Either way the project could be of use to him or someone else.
