Some men only want one thing

I always carry 40lbs of wooden cooking bowls and cutting boards while hiking up mountains to make lunch. Beautiful views though!

My thoughts exactly...who carries all that cooking gear? Nope, a flask with some good bourbon, a fine cigar and maybe even some good tunes running thru the earplugs. Don't forget doggo! ;)

It only has to be done once if you go deep enough to keep the road/trail hikers in their comfort zone. Most people will not expend the effort if there is any sort of discomfort or danger, to X spot. That is what makes it so rewarding in the first place, then the views & meal expound it all further.

Hiked the miles up to 9-10,000 feet just to make lunch many times.

Beautiful and worth it…
South of Hamilton Mt in the Bitterroot. Many many years back I was doing some hiking and came across a (built on site best I could tell) Adirondack chair near a cliff. I parked my ass an 3 hrs later as I was leaving I noticed a pouch on the back of it (I had approached from the front) Opened & found paper work inside telling where the next one was, it was worth the hike as well. Never knew who, why ect, but their placement was perfect for viewing & thinking.
