sprinklers usually run in the wee hours before the sun comes up. it seems too clever for anyone to do it on purpose (besides us).

So I have a good one based on the thread. I lived out in a country subdivision, all the lots were 2-10 acres no pattern to them. I had bird feeders in the backyard. They kept getting knocked down or off their posts. I finally had enough. I rigged a micro switch under one of the feeders, when tripped it opened a solenoid on an air tank filled with red dye and pressurized to 120 psi. the outlet was connected to a circular sprinkler head which covered about a 20 foot diameter. So knock the bird feeder of and get covered in red dye. A short time later I seen the bird feeder down and the dye on the grass. I thought for sure I would get a visit from some parents, never happened. Bird feeders never were touched again either.
So where this is going for me is if the SHTF I will be placing sprinkler heads around and using a flammable liquid. I already have built a few flamethrowers for ignition. I will be sitting on the front porch, some hooligans will approach, I will trigger the sprinklers, they will go WTF, ITS GAS !!!!!!. I will say FAFO and ignite.

I've spent the last 33 years on a college campus, they're all the same, year after year, one generation after another, all so.... "cliche".

I have no problem with America helping our allies out once we got all our own problems sorted out first. It's the house fire logic. If I come home and see both my house and my neighbor's house on fire, my devotion goes to my own family first to get them out safely and once I accomplish that, then I try and help my neighbors if I can. America is my family/home. All other allied countries are neighbors.

I may - or may not - have personal knowledge of the following story.
It seems there was a decorative water fountain in the back yard. The neighbors (not be very neighborly) were sitting on their porch watching their little girl (maybe three years old) play in the water fountain. She was fond of using toys to drain all of the water. Of course, the pump would still run without pumping water and ruin the pump. She was asked to not play in the fountain and stay in her yard. The adults heard the conversation, but said nothing.
Later blue food coloring was used in the fountain. It sure made the water "pretty" and evidently attractive to the little girl. She was observed with green spots all over her yellow dress and "Smurf arms" all the way from her hands to above her elbows.
No more replacement water pumps were needed in the fountain.
Broadcast sugar all over the area. Thats what landowners do when arrowhead poachers trespass and dig for arrowheads on their property at night.
If a sprinkler is all it takes to cause confusion and consternation at a protest it may be time for said protesters to rethink their career choices and consider deeply the fact that they are WAY to soft for anything other than sitting at home. God help them if they actually got hit by a water cannon. Or had to do manual labor.
