70 is my cutoff year. Too many changes that I don’t care for in the later years. Ideally, I wanted a split window, but walked into a deal on this 66. It has a better motor with a 73 ish AE code dual port block I rebuilt a couple years ago. Maybe soon, I’ll stuff a 2,000cc or bigger motor in it. A two rotor swap would be fun as well. I think the wheels make the car. Did they offer a passenger side mirror for that year?
My 66 Buick didn't have one. Nor does the Olds. I found a matching set from another model for the Buick but the Olds has the remote adjustment so it's been one of those things that we keep searching for the right match

A ‘70 Cheville SS will turn my head faster than just about any other car.

Yesterday, I saw a guy run a Ferrari (296, I think) through the car wash. I would never run a 70 Chevelle through a car wash.
I took an Italian through a carwash one day ..was in a rush, car was gross and the place is very nice. Never get any scratches on other cars over the years so I figure I’d be safe for 1 time

Well the paint came out unscathed but the little plastic and carbon parts underneath to move air around didn’t make friends with the “tire conveyor”.

Some really expensive crunchy sounds happened lol

Owner came running out “you can’t out that through the tunnel!!!, told him your hand wash guys were busy I have to go.

He was having a stroke, told him there is some stuff I left behind too

‘73’s aren’t so bad.
