I made a 3d printed insert for the MTM box specific for the 300 NM. I like the solution because it uses the solid plastic box of the MTM, but the insert is designed to index off the 20.5 deg shoulder angle. So the weight rests on the shoulder and the bullet end is free to float. Easier to see in the pics below.
This is the one I made for the 300 PRC, I just haven't posted the Norma flavor yet.
