NY Bill to actually ban the sales of Glock handguns most likely to pass and be signed by the governor. They blame Glock for being relativity easy to mount the clock switch to it. What is unknown if the state will confiscate existing glock handguns from registered owners. Those who purchased on the street are safe from confiscation this time around, smart move on your part.

Sucks to have it happen to the gun owners of NY but this is extreme enough that maybe we can get the Honorable Justice Clarence Thomas to deliver another righteous opinion like he did in Bruen just two years ago.

Laws like this that ridiculously overstep, while a pain in the ass initially, are good for us. These types of laws end up overturned in federal courts, and if we are lucky.....end up overturned at SCOTUS. This sets precedence that makes future laws much harder.

There's zero chance a ban on a handgun as common as Glock wouldn't be completely overturned in SCOTUS if it ever makes it that far.

There's also zero chance the other part of the bill about holding Glock accountable for make their handguns "easily convertible" holding up. As their design is not inherently different than any other. As well as courts (eventually, as NY courts may let it go) are not going to hold Glock accountable for other companies designed an apparatus that works on their handgun.

Now, as far as the products that work on handguns to make them similar to a rifle and such (call it whatever you want, not going to argue the semantics or technicalities), those companies and/or owners are pretty well screwed. As there isn't much that can stop NY (or any other state) from banning attachments as they aren't something common nor needed for the handgun to perform properly.

NY is well known for pushing through laws they know won't hold up and either changing them or repealing them so they don't get an upper court or SCOTUS ruling the sets precedence. What will more than likely happen is this law is pushed through as a "See, we did something" law and either repealed, or amended to only ban the devices and assign punitive damages to the makes of such devices.

Not that I expect any of the ban to be enforced long term, here is some of the text from the NY State Senate site. Glocks sold prior to the law remain legal.

We are talking about the same place currently trying to turn some non crime into a felony on a former and likely future POTUS in order to keep him from winning said future election..... the commies have ruined the place, get out if at all possible. Hopefully scotus rules again and makes it impossible to pass such a law in the future but it's already forbidden so, not sure how it would stop this game they've been playing there for years. They pass a knowingly unconstitutional law and wait for it to be overturned, while waiting they pass another similar unconstitutional law and wait for that one, then again and again.

You don't no shit about how NY laws work . Ask the people that live there . They have never gained a thing ever since the SAFE act was enacted . Why not shit the fuck up instead of chiming in with all your bullshit ...constantly?

So a Glock switch turns it into a machine gun.... and the ATF will happily show up with DOJ and FBI to shoot your dog and put you in prison for just having one. So is NY going to issue dogs to Glock owners so NY troopers can get a chance to shoot more dogs too?

They may not confiscate them, but maybe demand everyone to destroy/dispose of them in the future like they did the home defense shotguns like the Mossberg "Shock wave" ?

The downside is every time the SCOTUS attempts to help us, Whorekal responds by slamming us with a worse law in defiance of the courts.

New York lawmakers have been telling gun owners for decades they’re not welcome there. Hardly a year goes by those lawmakers don’t pass another restriction. Many are small, many are bold, but they never, ever, lift a single restriction.

And for some insane, idiotic reason, gun owners continue to remain in that state, where they are not welcome, where they are continuously abused, and they pay those same lawmakers more every year to punish them more.

Who is the whore, who is the pimp? Just smile and say “Yes Daddy” like you’ve been taught.

As I understand the legislation and the modifications to the glocks, this new law is nothing more than a repeat of the 1986 National Firearms act, banning private ownership of fully automatic firearms built after 1986.

Just one more useless, unenforced law that cost the taxpayers $$$$$$$ (and makes the snowflake basement dwellers and their patrons, the bought and paid for legislators, feel good about themselves).

If I am wrong, feel free to let me know because I remain pretty darned pissed about another stupid act by a stupid legislature and signed by a head up her ass governor.

Read the bill, and read their definition of a “convertible pistol”. They’re basically trying to force a Gen 6 Glock that cannot be modified. PSA and other clones would all be subject to the ban as well.

    37. "Convertible pistol" means any semi-automatic pistol that can be
converted into a machine-gun solely by the installation or attachment of
    a pistol converter.

    10. Any person, dealer, firm, partnership, or corporation who disposes of or who transports or ships as merchandise a convertible pistol is guilty of a class D felony.

Governor is clearly an enemy of the state... Its amazing not one person there that took an oath can arrest her and put her in chains.. truly amazing. USA sissification complete.
Looks like she has the whitest teeth that the sterno bums on Bowery Street have ever cum across.....

I guess NY doesn't know what a lightning link is.....or that you can make one out of a beer can....or soda can if you're a weenie.

This root issue lays at the feet of so called leadership. If they were not weak willed, or so power & money greedy this would be a none issue. They created the environment they are now trying to control.
