Best Hub Adapter/Brake setup for Suppressor

I am looking to purchase a couple more suppressors and I am considering the purchase of the 1.375” hub mount versions. If given the option, which hub/muzzle brake interface do you recommend. I will be using them on a large frame AR, small frame AR and potentially a bolt action.

I see the silencerco, griffin and deadair systems but I am not sure what else is out there.

Any recommendations?

What I use on my semis I don’t necessarily use on my bolts. Griffin has the most options of anything, including multiple different types of retention/locking capabilities (Dual-Lok, Plan A, Gate-Lok, etc) and most thread patterns. Rearden (Q Plan B pattern) is well liked for semis, but more limited options for larger cal threads as well as larger muzzle devices.

Just get one can for one rifle and direct thread it. Adapters are dumb unless you have to share between rifles, frequently changing.

I used to use Griffin Plan-a, it was ok, but I didn't like how often the adapter would stay with the muzzle device instead of the can when unmounting. Went to DA Xeno and have been satisfied, haven't had any more adapter to can issues since going to the left hand threads.

Rearden does have a one port brake with up to 3/4-24 threads and a .375 bore.

I haven't read through this entire thread so apologies if this has been mentioned.

Right now I have the HuxWrx Ventum with the Keymo Hub / Muzzle Brake and Deadair Lazarus with the Xeno Hub and Muzzle brake.

Ive probably put 800- 1000 rounds through both of them. What I've learnt is the Keymo is heavy, adds close to a 1lb IRC and doesn't like to stay tight unless I use a Strap wrench and adds close to 1.5" in overall length.

The Xeno Hub is the same weight as a direct thread but has a more limited option on Muzzle devises. The Xeno has NEVER loosened with it's left hand threads and I've also found a lightweight and effective four port Muzzle Brake that has more recoil reduction than the Dead Air Keymo Muzzle Brake.

The Xeno MB is made by LMT Advanced Technologies. I will be switching all of my Keymo over to Xeno.

Yup, Keymo is a thing of the past. Tapers are where it’s at.

Hey guys so I'm trying to find something better. Currently I'm using an area 419 hellfire adapter for my DA Nomad Ti XC. It works great as far as POI repeatability but it constantly comes loose. Maybe I just really need to clean all parts or maybe there is a better system. Thanks

Can comes loose while screwed on? From what I’ve heard the Area 419 is not a true taper mount, which would explain the loosening.

So I reached out to area 419 and they are replacing it. I also ordered the DA Xemax brake and adapter and installed it and that thing is a true dual taper it is very robust. The 419 is really just an o ring.

The 2 would come apart from each other. So the hub adapter on the suppressor is very tight and never comes loose and same with the piece on the barrel. It's the o ring taper that combine the 2 that sucks and comes loose
