Damnit, you got me. I clicked on the thread all excited about the possibilities of a tripod that was designed to incorporate all the best features available in a shooting tripod. I did laugh...but was still a little disappointed. lol
Those small tripods actually have many good uses. Not the least of which is supporting things like Garmin Xero, spotting scope, binos, etc. when doing load development.
I use them all the time they are very handy, I have an older RRS that is fixed, and I have a Field Ops that is very similar to this one, that I have my RRS Leveling based installed in, use it in lew of bipods

I spent a bunch of years as an industrial engineer. It was literally my job to find easier and more efficient ways to do things.
