Dead now, but Would have been nice to know motive or backstory of Why Belize ? with a knife, hijack to a Caribbean tourists, beaches and Rum hangout. Belize has extradition treaty signed with US, so he Not running from prosecution in hijacking to go there . Or just off his Med's and just insane ? , I assuming he was not screaming "Allahu Akbar". ?
