Greatest Post Apocalyptic Movie of all time ?

No love for Heston in Planet of the Apes?

Great point about One Second After, that would be a great movie, but better if it was a series. Kind of like the FIRST season of Jericho.
Jericho was pretty good... I was so pissed that they just ended it like they did.

I have to agree. I think a pop calypse now is one of the top 10 of all times. So many quotes in that 1.. But as far as a pocket liptic, I'd have to say night of the living dead.It shows what happens when democrats And liberals run wild

Wish A. American (pin name) ever gets off his ass and moves forward with his movie project about his book series "Going Home". If one is ever made about the book "One Second After" or the "Dark Road" series they would be good as long as they're true to the books.
Too funny! I was just reading this thread yesterday and Fox news has an article this morning about "One Second After" moving to the big screen!

Hope they do all 4 books!

As much as I liked One Second After, I prefer "Going home" much more as when I lived it Florida, my work took me all over the state. I know & have been to most every place they talk about in that series. Even that big graffiti painted rock at the rest area Morgan first met Jess at. It (books) also has/had lots of good info as to wild eatables, ect. As a kid growing up on a Indiana farm in the 50-60's we used a Maggot bucket for the chickens all the time, just like they elude to in the series.

Tank Girl was so fucking horrible

I like shitty films too but it was a bridge too far for me
Oh, I totally agree that it was terrible, laughingly so to me though. I believe it was done in the over-the-top graphics novel style. At least that’s how I view it.

Okay, since I was writing this, I looked it up:

Tank Girl is a British comic created by Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett. It first appeared in print in 1988 in the British comics magazine Deadline, and then in the solo comic book series Tank Girl. After a period of intense popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Tank Girl inspired a 1995 feature film. After a long hiatus, the eponymous character returned to comics in 2007 and has appeared regularly in the years since.

A boy and his dog was pretty good
The ending was epic!!!

I watched this yesterday while swapping out the bands and hinges on my Egg, I agree the ending was epic and I didn't see it coming 🤣

Pluto TV has the majority of those listed for streaming for free with ads

What about 12 Monkeys?

I just saw today that they're making "One Second After " into a movie. It was a fantastic book. If they don't fuck up the source material, it should be good.
My favorite post apocalyptic story isn't a movie. It's the book "Lucifer's Hammer" by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.
That would be good if not destroyed with woke.

I've not been to a movie in over 35 years, but I'd pay to see that one. Hope they don't kill my image of all the folks in the book/s.
One realistic factor they both, One Second After & Going home, left out that was the amount of fires that will happen from the over voltage surge, in those places that do not have quality, whole building surge protection.
