Déjà vu, a term that simply translates in French as something "already seen".

I've experienced this quite a bit over the decades but haven't found a good explanation/discussion on the phenomenon.

Does anyone else here frequently experience this?

Man I swear I have dreams and then they happen. Or I’ll be doing something and get Deja vu.

I’m always thinking if I could just figure out how to control it I could predict the future

I don’t do drugs but writing that sounds like I’m a wackjob. Lmao

When I was younger and I used to order things from Cabela's or Sportsman's Guide, it was the days before Amazon Prime and would take over a week to arrive instead of a day. I would ALWAYS dream about my stuff arriving the night before it did.
Okay, well, what happened to the dream of flying space cars like on "The Jetsons"?

    Just for arguments sake-

Let's assume we all have our morning rituals. Some here might be retired, others might be working stiffs such as myself but across all spectrums I'd imagine that most of our mornings are fairly "routine". By "routine" I mean we get up roughly the same time, we likely head to the bathroom and do 'our thing' in 'our order' as we start our days. Something we likely do 100+ more times day in and day out until...

There's that one day where your morning ritual is interrupted by one thing or another. Maybe a pet does something that throws the course of your morning off ever slightly and maybe that's the "first" time that ever occurred in your routine. You're pissed off because you have a certain way of doing things and this proverbial "wrench in the machine" has got you running late and thrown off your routine.

Am I the only one to run into that situation and have such a uniquely specific type of event that shook up your entire morning and have a brief moment of clarity where you (for lack of a better word) 'envisioned' that this would come to fruition previously and did almost verbatim?
