I only have a 100 yard range but I put 4 338 lM in 1/2 inch so at least if i get a good bearing on the target I might hit it. I say this only because this is my second attempt. Regardless of how I do, I enjoy the folks there; it is well worth the trip and have no problem driving the 1700 miles from New York. I did upgrade my equipment with a Kestrel I hope someone on Friday can give me some last min advice on it. This time I will have a spotting scope and a pair of WW2 German Zeiss 10x50 binoculars. Really I think spotting is the single most important item. My Lapua is shooting well with 92 gr H1000 My Garmin Clocked better than 3000 f/s This is 5 grains over the max load according to Hornadry (87 g) I laddered up to it. I examined each case carefully no primer back-out no imperfections in the brass no necks split etc But am considering backing off a little. I have several more powders to test I am particularly interested in the new Winchester HD. I have a little more time to experiment and I am going to the 1000 yard range about 100 miles from me next week to test the best loads before I pick one. Does anyone have a feel for how much ammo is needed for the whole match (if I last that long). I plan to stay out there for the Cody match in late June.
I think the station ranges are the same fixed distances as last year. If that is the case, if someone remembers the individual distances it would be helpful in programing the Kestrel.
Looking forward to the match and meeting up with the great people I met last year.

This is for NF match if anyone is confused.

For the Kestrel make sure you have good data on your rifle, after that let it collect enviro's. Take a good target heading, tell it the distance and then wind capture into the wind.

If you shoot every round at the match it's 150 rounds, plus what ever you plan to shoot in practice. I always take 200 but come home with lots since the targets are dead after impact.

I've attached the match book from last year, that being said the stages do change sometimes, even if it's just slightly so I'd either wait for the new COF or make sure you verify everything later.
