I’m curious if there is anyone who does or attempts thermal optics repair?
The tech used in thermal scopes is not something I understand well enough to consider doing myself.
I have an expensive thermal scope that needs repair and the manufacturer isn’t particularly interested.

    It’s a Reap IR 35mm
I was trying to avoid this turning into a bash fest on Trijicon as these threads have a tendency to go that route.

They were polite and respectful just didn’t have any good options for repair in my circumstance. The only broken part according to them is the board. ($200.00)
Unfortunately they are unable/ unwilling to repair that without upgrading the whole unit on my dime. ($5000.00)

That's a STEEP "upgrade" price. Primary Arms has the N-vision Halo XRF 50 on clearance for $5,499.00 right now. NIB for $500 more + 5 year warranty sounds like a winner to me. If I didn't just buy one in January I'd be buying.

If they'll sell the board, $200 is a relatively low risk investment if you can get it swapped by someone. Certainly there is a EE somewhere who could hook it up.
