Not the typical setup, but it works. LP Fuzion, 28” M24 6.5 creed throated for 153.5, XLR element MG, XLR TR-2 stock, double pull ckye pod, Vortex Razor LHT 4.5-22. It was 15 lbs 15.9 oz at check in. My buddy ran a fuzion with 24” proof carbon in his XLR MG with carbon stock with 3 internal weights and 2 external, double pull, Gen 3 razor and he was about 15lbs 10 oz. That setup seemed to balance a bit better. Mine was balanced way in front of the magwell.
I’m running an Aero precision solus hunter in 6.5 creedmoor, Burris xtriii 5-30, atlas cal with leg extension and a salmons river solutions Arca rail. Suppressor is a Silncerco harvester 30 on an area419 mount. Weight is 13.4 pounds.
I like this. I have a Terminus Zeus I’m going to use. The Xlr chassis is nice. Ideally I would like something similar to your buddy. A full featured setup I could weight down for prs or use for nrl. Right now I’m between two setups. Either go full in on nrl setup with an lrh and steel 3b barrel or go for a heavier manners stock.

Here's my "frankengun" I put together for the Arizona NRL Hunter pro-Am match in Jan and ended up shooting again this past weekend at the Cranbrook, BC NRL Hunter match cause my dumb ass forgot to send my actual hunter gun off for a new barrel... durr
Squeaks in at just 16lbs:

My usual NRL Hunter rig is actually my hunting rifle. It's similar but just a Rem 700 with a 24" Sendero in 6.5 Creed (have 20" .308 and 26" carbon 7saum for hunting too) dropped in the same CRBN. Configured the same way it's about 1/2lbs lighter but without the Impact and with a lightweight double-pull it makes weight for Open-Light as well.
