I’ve got a whole laundry list of concerns and am requesting y’all’s thoughts and prayers

My Brenda had a very bad report from the eye doctor yesterday. If it can affect your eyes, she has the beginning stages of all of it and all it requires treatment.

My Old Friend, Jimmie Martin, turns very old today. He had a stroke several years ago, and while not bed ridden, he is still hurting. Today is his birthday

My other old friend Charlie B. Is in the hospital, they don’t know what’s wrong, and that scares the crap out of me. More people I know have died because the doctors could not figure out what was wrong, including my father

One happy thought, this old girl pictured below is 31 years old today. This is the day she was finished and we moved in. Our little cottage on Caney Creek Lake. My friend, Jimmie was a huge help to us moving.

I want to thank everyone for their well wishes

A couple of things to report. My friend Charlie is due to have his gall bladder removed tomorrow morning. Not an easy thing, *had it done in 2011 and was sore for weeks afterward’ but the end result was no more stomach issues. So, keep him and the surgeon in your prayers

Second is something of a tragedy.

Today Nottoway burned basically to the ground. Why I bring this up, is, the interior finish of Nottoway was the inspiration of our little Gulf Coast Cottage’ interior, which we build and moved into 31 years ago. Nottoway is considered the largest of all the plantation homes and perhaps the finest. Nothing left. So very sad.

Because of the inspiration we gained from Nottoway, Brenda and I feel a bit of kinship to that great home.
