Is anyone making metal magazine housing for Tikka T1x?

On a Tikka T1x magazine release lever is hinged to plastic magazine housing using metal pin. As you can guess when metal is rubbing against plastic, the plastic gets chewed up and the hole in magazine housing that holds pin for magazine release lever gets bigger and bigger over time (see pic below). As a result of bigger hole, magazine release lever is pushed back more and then spring in the magazine release lever bends, rendering is useless and since it cannot push magazine release lever any more, magazine release lever just falls out. Since magazine release lever holds magazine in place, without it the magazine will just fall out unless you hold it by hand every time you chamber a round :-( Hence the need for metal magazine housing for Tikka T1x.

I did call them and Beretta is not selling them for rifles released after 2022, so for all rifles made after 2022 you need to send them to Beretta. I created first parts request since this is very easy to replace the part and they refused it, they sent me shipping label to send them the rifle for warranty repair since my rifle is only about 8 months old. My rifle is at Beretta right now, but I know it isn only question of time when this issue will happen again.

So, as I am not familiar with the T1X, can this part become an issue for a rifle that has been moved to a chassis such as the PDC or MDT XRS?

Its not an issue at all. This part has zero wear under normal use. I would chalk this up to random manufacturing defect or abnormal usage.

This part will typically travel with the rifle when moved to a new stock or chassis (at least thats how it works with OEM to KRGs), so swapping to a chassis (particularly an AICS or "full size" match chassis) won't solve op's problem.

Keep in mind t1xs are known to break firing pins at 6-8k rounds, and its pretty well documented. There's only like one report of this part failing ever, so we would need more data to read into it beyond the surface, IMHO.

Hopefully they sort it out quickly for the OP and he's not without his rifle for too long.

Thanks for the info!
While I have owned and enjoyed a few Tikka CF rifles over the years the only thing close to that in a RF was owning a APA built Sako P94 22LR at one time. It was a constant issue with getting the 10 round mags to feed.
Owning a Vudoo Gen I and two Anschutz 1727 Fortner rifles should be enough for me. But I did say "should" and not "is".
