Where do you try to hit them? I hear the organs are preferable to the head to prevent them going off but that seems counterintuitive. Last one that I found in the barn didn't go too well.
I try for chest shot, that works sometimes. I had one inside the barn the other day and it didn’t go well either. I like to sit out back after dark with my thermal and get them out in the pastureWhere do you try to hit them? 1030 yards with my 223. Popped the chuck way better than anticipated with that round at that distance.
75 ELDM with a lot of VargetThat was pretty cool! What bullet? Hand loads?
And that’s pretty darn clear for 1030 yds. What sort of recording setup are you using? I use a Razor 27-60 spotter with a phone mount.
Pretty impressive resolution filming at that low magnification! Blows away the Razor 27-60 spotter. Was thinking of upgrading to a Kowa.75 ELDM with a lot of Varget
This is filmed with a Meopta S2 at 30x with an iPhone and a Kapture adapter.
Love the adapter so far. I used to use a Novagrade and it was good but not quite as “easy” to use.Pretty impressive resolution filming at that low magnification! Blows away the Razor 27-60 spotter. Was thinking of upgrading to a Kowa.
I use the Ollin adapter. How do you like the Kapture?

Here’s another video at roughly 500.
No it attaches to my spotting scope. So it sounds like you attach the phone to a riflescope…that’s on a spare rifle?
Ok duh, I'm an idiot. I thought the Meopta S2 was a riflescope lol. Didn't know they made spotters. Whoops! No it attaches to my spotting scope.
