Yes, It’s primarily for hunting. Max range, 400-500 yards. Mostly under 300. Lots of trees so it looks pretty dark with shadows during the last 30-45 minutes of hunting light.
With those parameters I’d suggest the Trijicon Tenmile 3-18 x 44. FFP, lighter weight, durable, illuminated and It’s a thicker reticle than other scopes in that price range making it a tad easier to pick up in lower light conditions even w/o using illumination. I run NX8 4-32 for NRL, but hunt with the Tenmile.
