Hello all, i have a JP LRP-07 (in 6.5cr if that matters) and i'll be shooting at my local range oftentimes at 100yds, but will be stretching it out to 500-1000 several times a year.

In addition to that, my eyes are getting older and it's getting hard to spot hits on paper with like a 1-8. So i'm looking to get in a bit closer.

Given these variables, would you opt for a 5-25 or a 7-35? I've heard good things about the 4-20 as well, but i rarely see them come up for sale.

Would love to hear experienced opinions about this. Thanks.

Lots of threads comparing the two optics. My eyes are not what they use to be, but I'm in no way handicapped by the 5-25 over the 7-35. I own and use both. I rarely ever use the extra 10x while shooting. So if you are watching your budget I'd get the 5-25. If you have the extra $$$ burning a hole in your pocket the 7-35 is slightly better.

if poor lighting or close range moving shots is a concern, i'd probably lean 5-25, but if most of your shots are longer and you would benefit from more magnification, then the choice is the 7-35. Both have a good adjustment range, so that doesn't really matter. hard to go wrong either way.

Had both, there was just something about the 5-25 that I didn't like. Just until recently had the 7-35 and it was probably the best NF I have ever had. I almost never shot it above 25x. Mostly in 18-20. Have since moved to the TEMU ATACR for now.
