I am 55 today! Wife gave me several thoughtful gifts plus made me a great frittata this morning and a 12lb cheesecake last night.
Some thoughts:
Life is so short, spend it loving more and hating less.
Relationships are the only thing that really matters.
Money is a just a tool.
Things are temporal.
God is not at all what we think Him to be and we are much more to Him than we realize.
Family and friends are impossible to quantify and are more valuable than any other worldly gift.
Love your wife, really love her and she will make you feel like royalty.
Your children and grandchildren are your biggest responsibility and source of immeasurable joy.
Be thankful, really thankful and your happiness will always be there.

Water heater set a tad high
Looks like the wrong kind of pipe for hot water, to me. But hey what do i know. Ive laid more pipethan Wabesha plumbing.....
Remember Mr Hairy Homeowner. PVC is for long, below grade runs. Like from your well saddle to main stub in house, or from a meter to the house.
Sure you can use it for lots of things, any idiot with some glue and a bicycle helmet can be successful. You may even get away with using it wrong for a long time......but not forever. And it doesn't bust or crack at convenient times.....
I am putting a flip style gooseneck hitch in my truck this weekend. I did some wiring today, replaced the rear 7way socket and used a plug and play wiring harness to go into the bed for the gooseneck.
Things are so much easier and cheaper these days. I remember having to splice and solder in harnesses back in the day.

Safety departments will still be fucking up productivity though. We had to sit through another meeting by our safety dept yesterday. Thankfully it was over Zoom so i was able to walk away about halfway through. Somehow, they keep getting dumber and more insulting…
