Asking for confirmation from anyone who has the AB Quantum app and the sig kilo 10k gen 2. I am having an issue with the 10ks not sending the azimuth to the app under the target tab. If i range a target the inclination does change on app to what the binos are showing in the hud but the azimuth( direction of fire) does not update on the app in the target screen under azimuth. only the phone icon when pressed changes the azimuth. the hud in bino's do show the change in dof but doesn't seem to push the data for azimuth to the bino's. anyone experience this?

I have not confirmed with Quantum, but I have this issue with my Kestrel 5700. I contacted Nielsen-Kellerman about the issue and was told its an issue on Sig's end, the Kilos don't send that information. They also said that they were told the Sig is aware of the issue, so I then reached out to Sig to verify. The guy I've been in communication with at Sig followed up with me last week for more details on the issue, but I haven't gotten any more information.

I was told by a gentleman at ab quantum that the sigs should be sending dof to phone app. Was told that the sig kilos were the first rangefinders they worked with. Was told by AB Quantum support that they were trying to find where the issue is in the system but have not hear back from them. The bino icon tab is under the azimuth so it should be reading from binos. would be nice to know if it is supposed to communicate from bino to phone and if not remove the bino tab under azimuth. just wondering if the firing solution is correct if the binos never send the azimuth to the ab quantum phone app.

So I just checked. On the ABI mode the Sigs sends DOF to ABQuantum. Only question is where is ballistic Calc happening and what happens if you have adjustments to the drag model - does that give you a different answer on both devices (through BDX you can only adjust MV table). When using ABE (which you need for Kestrel and Garmin) it does not send DOF. I believe the reason is that the DOF should come from the compass of whatever is doing the ballistic calculation since the compass on bino and computer won’t match. Personally I think it’s BS and want to be given the choice. I also have an AB Mini that I can point to whatever the sigs say is north and now the mismatch doesn’t matter when getting a live wind reading on a 901 target card.

thank you for the response. very helpful
