Israel has indirectly attacked Iran's nuclear program for a couple decades now - Stuxnet, targeted assassinations of nuclear scientists/engineers, etc.

All of those actions delayed, but collectively could not stop, progress toward an eventual fission weapon.

Not exactly many civil needs for uranium enriched to 80%+.

hence, why Iran kept burying their program, deeper and deeper under the mountains.
I believe I read, it would take basically a small nuclear device to destroy the deep nuclear base in Iran.

GBU-57B MOP, which can only be carried by the B-2 Spirit, was designed for specifically that kind of mission.

I don't want Iran to have a nuclear weapon, but until and unless they "touch the boat" or directly attack US forces in the region, it ain't our fight IMO. If they do, well, our involvement should probably begin and end with a half-dozen MOPs on Fordow.

They have been reading Rads over there for a few days. The MSM is either that stupid or complaisant, chose one. Ham Radio operators have been "leaking" that info out the last 48hrs. So I'm told by the manager, of the local Holiday Inn Express.

Its probably not even real. Like the WMD"s. Im sure we are all being played again, not sure why people eat what the news says every time something happens only to find out a few months later it was all bs. They keep everyone distracted by fears "nukes". Obviously we all seen through the fake russia boogyman and its not working so they bring this out. Fear = control. Everyone knows our retaliatory capabilities and wont do anything, so if anything happens its orchestrated by our own. This is complex and harder to convince, so they need a bigger threat.....nukes. Bring out the WMD card again and play that one. The goal is to start a war, all those in congress and DC that are war mongers that want your friends and family to die for this should be lined up against a wall... They are the true and only threat. The whole "nuke" thing is a ploy, a joke. But people buy it because it targets their fears. Stop letting it.

Look at it through the money lens.... who made how much and how many millionaires in DC and their friends and family all heavily invested in the war machine got hyper rich.... It was quite the successful campaign from the looks of it. Thats why thousands of people died. They were just told a different story so they'd go along with it at the time.

On the other hand, lots of GREAT 'how to' videos coming out of Afghanistan on rebuilding Cummins' Engines with basic tools.

It doesn't make any sense to say Iran should be left alone because estimates of their nuclear progress were overly pessimistic in the past.

These people are 7th-century, daughter-murdering morons with a history of lying as a matter of policy and as a staple of their religion, and we can't be sure what they're doing because they can't be trusted. The smart thing in the absence of perfect intelligence is to assume they are close to a bomb. You don't want to wait around until they nuke someone and then say, "Tulsi Gabbard was pretty sure this wouldn't happen."

They brought this on themselves by picking on Israel (unnecessary), killing hundreds of Americans, refusing to both abandon nukes and open themselves to inspection, and by continually threatening to destroy Israel and the US.

Imagine a world in which Islamists decided to leave Israel alone and let the Jews have their tiny sliver of desert. We could have that world this evening. The only barrier is Islamism.

Incidentally, Israel's success against its enemies is probably largely due to the fact that Muslim countries have expelled or killed nearly all their Jews. Where do you think Israel gets spies that pass for Iranians? From Iran.

I think the only way we will end up battling Iran is if they live up to their past standard of stupidity and poke the bear.

I do not believe we will get into a wider war with Iran because the rest of the Muslims hate Iran, just as they hate "Palestinians." A lot of the governments over there are thrilled to see Iran getting its face pushed in.

You kind of forget Israel wants "living space" much like someone else.
They want "greater Israel" that is a lot of other countries right now

Don't forget also they essentially want to rule everyone including us.

Israel succeeds because America is their pay pig and their errand boy and pet dog.
without that, they would have to tread much more carefully.
Or perhaps they would have already nuked a bunch of folks and we wouldn't have this problem to begin with...

If we’re using that metric Iran earned some attention all the way back in Iraq during the GWOT.

I’m totally OK with bombing them into extinction. Muslims, particularly of the Middle Eastern variety; when allowed to self govern, are barbarians little removed from animals and should be treated as such.

I have no interest in direct regime change, nation building, or even diplomacy.

We either stay out of it, which is fine with me too, or we go fuck them up so bad it gets written into their Quran and other ravings of the goat fucker Mohammed.

Either way I think we’re done talking, there is no constructive conversation to be had with them.

How deep can one of those mop's penetrate ? Some parts of those bunkers are under the mountain , so many hundreds of feet is possible plus spread out /sectioned off .
