Another long range youtube challenge.

After watching many of these shooting challenge videos I have concluded that the
AICS bottom metal and magazine systems on 700 clone actions is terribly unreliable.
You see a lot of mag related issues in these videos. Even with the guys that have rifles they shoot a lot.

I didn't include episode one in here. It was just the guys that put the challenge together shooting it. I think it was the second guy up, shooting a Springfield way point. He would have been better off forgetting the mag altogether lol.

I've got AICS mags in three of
my 700's. Long action is in a bravo with cip length mags. It gave me som issues until I notched the receiver. Runs fine now. Also have a 308 that I fitted the magpul bottom metal to the HS precision stock. It's never missed a beat. The other one was a 243AI (soon to be a dasher) in the factory laminated stock. I fitted grayboe bottom metal in that one. Runs flawless with mdt mags.

That is one of the benefits of PRS, you find out which mags work. I mark which ones work for which calibers. One of the things I picked up from Handguns. If a mag shits on you, pay attention. If it shits on you twice, its done.

"6GT loads smoothly"
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

sorry.

So far I've found Magpul to be the most reliable in everything. But, you give up a touch of length.

I have 2-12rnd and 2-10rnd mdt mags. They generally work fine, but I'll have a hiccup once in awhile.

All my mags are painted with a number. Easy way to track failures with the mag.
