No point in trying to reopen San Francisco’s Alcatraz… when you can do better.

Airfield deep in the Everglades, surrounded by swamps full of gators and pythons and water moccasins and, well, rednecks who think “You got a nice mouth, Jose…” will be a deportation processing facility.

DHS has approved. So now, Pedro, you get to await your due process in a tent. In the Everglades. And if you try and get off the island… well, good luck with that!

Bet after a few days, folks are begging to hurry up that due process and get them back to El Salvador!!

Need one out near Ft Huachuca, too. Scorpions, rattlers and 115 in the shade for miles in every direction is also motivational.

What did one gator say to the other gator? Not bad for Mexican food!!

They can even fly them right out to home from the airport… easy C130 strip. Plus the bus ride in would be long and give ‘Ol Juan a lot of time to reflect that he ain’t in Kansas any more!

Plus budget neutral, since all the money being spent on NYC hotels will easily fund tent city.

So… don’t want to go live there, folks… self-deport.

I love it when a plan comes together!

Don't forget, the area is also loaded with rattlesnakes, bears and those tawny colored kitty cats.

And mosquitos.

If they don't get you and you end up hurt, the hogs will clean up the mess.

Stop. No need to keep trying to convince me! I'm sold!

Cheers,

Sirhr

I would hope some fire ants could be implemented for their enjoyment 😉
Like the way you’re thinking though !! 👍
I think the rednecks would say …..” you sure got a pretty mouth”, Jose !

If you ever get pulled over by the po po , when they ask for DL and registration ,
look him straight in his eyes , and tell him he “has a pretty mouth” 😁 they like to hear that ☺️

What a waste of money. Send them back to their actual home country instead.
It “will be a deportation processing facility.

And they are being sent to countries typically not their home country to counter the lib argument that if returned to their home country they will potentially be prosecuted, tortured or killed. You know, the usual over-hyped garbage to drum up sympathy from smooth brains.

Reports of Cobras, Anacondas and Nile Crocs in the Everglades now as well. Salt water crocs have been there for a while now. It’d be a sporty escape
We have salt water crocs. Haven't heard anything about Nile crocs in FL. Same with cobra.

Our salt water crocs only get to maybe 10'. Even female gators can get bigger than that.

You know there are likely cobra in there, and every other dangerous critter that some moron thought would be fun until it wasnt. How about a bunch of Black Mamba, and Inland Taipei?

I’d rather they not be introduced as yet another non-native species that will take over unchecked due to lack of natural predators.

And, stupid regulations for taking invasive snakes.
Should be by any means available, not some stupid guide based setup.

They need to be unregulated like the lion fish

I'm just thinking they're already there, just not spotted yet. Imagine being out fishing running into this. They can stand and strike up to 40% of their length, so this 15footer coud hit you at about eye level. Thats why God made the 12 gauge.

Hey, the back gate at Ft Huachuca that I used to go to is up in pine forest. I think it's Gate 7 if I remember correctly. It's not open and they took the grates out so you can't really get in with a vehicle. Really doesn't matter because they have sensors all over the place for 'visitors'. It's quite a bit cooler, but the you have timber rattlers, still have scorpions, and mountain lions, panthers (supposedly), bears, and before Mr. Trump took office, plenty of two legged critters. (the border is just about a stone's throw away).

Is this going to be a " in transit" location until they can get flown to some other country then I'm ok with it. But if they are going to be there permanently forget it.
From what I gather, they stay there until their 'due process' hearing. Right now, they are being kept in spendy hotels all over America.

No more of that shit.

"Into the tent with you. Oh this sucks? You don't like it? Sign here and waive your hearing and you will be on that plane over there within the hour. What was that sound. Just a big gator. Nothing to worry about. As long as you stay in the tent... Oh, you need a pen? Here ya go!"

Make it a place they don't WANT to stay permanently and they'll sign up to go Adios!

We definitely have different ideas of what a "pine forest" looks like!

Below is a Pine forest. Note the larch, the fir, the redwoods... the lumberjacks, leaping from tree to tree singing.... Wait, belay that. Anyway, This is a pine forest. vvv

vvv This is a Godforsaken desert with bitey things, stingy things and scrub pines randomly scattered around... and someone decided that Pinon was actually pine... Maybe it smells like car air fresheners... or has pinecones. I don't remember.

Of course I have not been there in 25 ish years. So maybe Global Warming killed off all the actual Pine Forest. But I remember MMFD. (Miles and Miles of F%$#ing Desert) ;-)

But the humidity and barometric pressure is low so my joints dont hurt all the time. You do need to remember the chapstick.

No, you need to go to the back side of the fort. I used to drive out on 83 from Parker Canyon until you get closer to the border, turn left and just keep going up. It's not as thick as you forest, but hey, I live in fort stinking desert. Where if it doesn't prick, sting, strike, or bite, it's not from around here.
